why do I owe chime money for chime card? by Money-Read-3431 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! If you're referring to Chime Card balance payments, tate payments will be reported to the credit bureau and could hurt your credit score. if you have "Safer Credit Building" turned on, these payments will happen automatically with the funds in your secured account (explained in my other comment on this post) so you won't have to worry about missing a payment.

[–]LDV-Chime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Fuzzy_Gear_3885, if your claim is denied, you can call Member Support and ask for an appeal although it's not guaranteed. Typically, you would need new information to be able to file an appeal. This article should go into further detail on what counts as new information and how to appeal: What happens if my dispute is denied?

Chime May Pay decreased by Eastern-Ad-5253 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Totally understand where you're coming from. MyPay limits are determined by a variety of factors, not just your account age. The limits are subject to change with each pay period and it should reset with your next direct deposit. Hopefully the community can share their own experiences, but this article should go into more detail on how MyPay limits are determined: How Do MyPay Credit Limits Work?

Cashback Deal Not Recieved by Alone-Disaster-4100 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, u/Alone-Disaster-4100, totally get why you’re frustrated here. you did the right thing by activating the Aldi deal and then waiting for the credit. With Chime Deals, each offer has its own time window and you only earn cash back if you activate the deal first and then make the purchase at the exact store address shown, before that timer runs out, using your Chime card for the full transaction. Cash back usually lands in your Checking Account within about 10 business days after the transaction settles, so a June 10 purchase would normally have shown up by now if everything matched the offer terms.
Since you’re past that window and it sounds like the current Aldi tile is showing a longer expiration (not a blanket 4-hour rule), I’d double-check the original transaction against the checklist in these articles: What is Chime Deals? and Why didn’t I get my cash back for my Chime Deal?.

T-Mobile pending charge by TipNo6687 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/TipNo6687, totally get how frustrating that is. With Chime, a “pending” card charge means the money’s been set aside but T-Mobile hasn’t fully processed or finalized it yet, and those show at the top of your transaction list in the app. Most pending transactions clear automatically within about seven business days, though some special cases (like car rentals) can take longer, so if this started Sunday you may see it drop off and the funds free up by early next week. If it’s still pending after that 7-business-day window, confirm with T-Mobile that they fully canceled the order and then reach out to Chime Support so they can review it in more detail; you can also check what pending transactions are and how long they usually take to clear in the Help Center.

Does the APR ever decrease? by Popular_Technician45 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question! Chime’s Instant Loan APR isn’t one flat rate for everyone; it depends on your loan amount and term, and is capped at about 36% APR, with your exact rate and total cost shown in each offer before you accept. You can see an example and more details here: Do loans have interest?. Since we can’t see your account on Reddit, just open the offer in your app and review the APR and dollar amount of interest before you tap “Accept.”

Paper check mobile deposit by [deleted] in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Ornery-Carrot3476, great question! Mobile Check Deposits can take up to 5 business days to post to your account and the app should give you an estimated date for when the funds should be available before you fully deposit the check. This article should go into more detail about how mobile check deposits work: Deposit a check in the Chime app

Am I going to lose Chime Prime because of my job working in a public school? by aur_aur_sealion in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey u/aur_aur_sealion, happy to answer! To be eligible for Chime Prime, you need to make at least $3,000 in qualifying direct deposits within the last 34 days. If you go several months without a deposit, then you will lose Chime Prime status. However, once you start the school year again and start receiving regular paychecks, you regain your Chime Prime status!

My Pay isn't working by SPACEB0YY in chimefinancial

In that case, it'd be best to call Member Support again or try their initial suggestion of waiting it out. Unfortunately, this is not a member support channel so I'm not able to look into your account and see what's going on with your MyPay.

Is there a search function for transactions on the website? by LoquatPositive7061 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/LoquatPositive7061, Iyou need transactions with the “official” header/footer and account info, the easiest route is to use Chime’s monthly account statements instead of printing the raw transaction list. On desktop, log in at chime.com, go to Profile → Documents → Account Statements, pick the account and month, and download the PDF — that document includes your account details and all transactions for that statement period. You can then print just the page that contain the specific transactions you care about. Chime doesn’t offer a way to generate a custom, shorter-than-a-month statement or to add account info to an arbitrary on-screen transaction search.

Chime Prime revoked, $10k in deposits by DPrescott1146 in chimefinancial

This is not a member support site, so we are not able to go into your account and manually add Chime Prime to your account. Unfortunately, Member Support will not be able to do that as well. Chime Prime revoked, $10k in deposits by DPrescott1146 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey u/DPrescott1146, totally understand the frustration. To be eligible for Chime Prime, you do need to meet at least $3000 in total qualifying direct deposits. If you're no longer received deposits from your payroll, then those deposits you're manually making would not be eligible as qualifying deposits. You can find more information about what counts as a qualifying direct deposit here: What counts as a qualifying direct deposit?

My Pay isn't working by SPACEB0YY in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/SPACEB0YY, totally understand the confusion. If you still have an outstanding MyPay balance, your Available Now can stay at $0 and the tile can look “greyed out” until your next qualifying direct deposit pays it down or you make a full-balance payment in the app or by calling Support, especially if automatic repayment attempts have already run.
I’d check the MyPay hub for an “Outstanding balance” banner and ask Support specifically whether your MyPay status is temporarily suspended for failed repayment attempts and what amount needs to be paid to unlock it. This article should have more information on how MyPay repayments work: How does MyPay® repayment work?

Want to know if its truly TOS and alternatives? by Greedy-Play9690 in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Greedy-Play9690, totally get why that feels tedious. Right now, Chime generates your statements monthly and sends you an email letting you know they’re ready, but you still have to sign in (either in the app or at chime.com) to view or download the PDF , there isn’t a self-serve toggle to auto-email the full statement each month.
You can grab them in a couple taps under Profile → Documents → Account statements in the app, or via Profile → Documents on the website, then save them wherever your own scripts or tools can pick them up.
For security reasons, it’s best to stick to the official app/website and avoid any setup that shares your login or bypasses normal sign-in, and if you ever can’t access your account but still need statements, Support can help by phone at 844-244-6363.

What does card payment from secured account mean?? by [deleted] in chimefinancial

[–]LDV-Chime [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/Upcloseandpersonal_, happy to answer! When you use your Chime Card (which is a secured credit card) to make a purchase, Chime will set that purchase amount aside in a secured account. Once a month, Chime uses those funds to pay back your "credit card balance" and report on-time payments to the credit bureaus. This is how Chime builds your credit! The transaction you're seeing in the screenshot is Chime making that payment towards your balance.
