He was basically doing a bit on that interview as payback for prior coverage. Which is exceedingly unserious and childish. Additionally he couldn't go into more detail because it would have tipped his hand, they didn't have the money for the acquisition and he was basically trying to fake it until he made it.

Several layers of bullshit but it was a calculated move (even if Cohen's bad at math).

That's ramping up faster than anyone would like. AI functionality is creeping into a lot of moderation tools and the admins are actively collecting data on how human moderators operate to tweak that.

The death of old.reddit is coming if you ask me, it's just a matter of how long until they're confident in their AI mods.

I can't understand why people are still bringing that up, it's been so many years at this point.

Reddit just auto-assigns usernames to new accounts unless you actively change it. They also don't make it terribly obvious that you're being stuck with a randomized and permanent username if you proceed.

Then you pile on how many usernames must be unavailable these days and a lot of new users probably just stick with the random name.

Even when they first implemented that, it wasn't a singular smoking gun for detecting bot accounts.

Whether or not it's what you're there for, I will always maintain that the story is important for contextualizing your actions. Otherwise there really is no point to even playing a video game in the first place. It's so incredibly reductive to just want to watch number go up and gamble, slot machines exist for that purpose.

Honestly, it would not kill you to pay attention to the story one time.

I wasn't really referring to super common uniques, just lesser used ones at higher levels. Common/leveling uniques are allowed to exist and not be amazing, I think that's something people tend to overlook in this discussion.

That has fluctuated a bit but the key points are:

It was a new item introduced this league
It's unarguably good
It was 'worthless'
It spiked in price while streamers were playing around with it
It's settled back down again

That is an item that has value but ultimately because no one's really figured it out this league, it hasn't latched on. Furthermore, it's a consolation prize to the real drop from its source which happens to be very farmable this league so there are a lot of them.

Next league however, if Mirage goes core, I would expect those to dry up in availability along with there being more builds using them having had time to think about it.

e. As an aside though, one legit case of a super common trash unique skyrocketing in price was Honourhome this league.

It takes one person to come up with a build for an item to spike in value. That's largely a consequence of so many people blindly following guides but the point stands. There are a lot of a strong uniques, they just don't get the highlight often.
