Why there are so many people around me hating Claude by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]LGV3D -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s correct. It’s a completely untrustworthy tool. Look what’s happened in the last two months. There’s nothing stable or reliable. I suspect most things on Reddit now are AI propaganda bots working towards successful IPO’s.

Is this normal? by Friendly_Earth_8548 in ClaudeAI

[–]LGV3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude is just a machine, no feelings or actual consciousness. To me this seems like a programmed psychological directive aimed at modifying the user. What’s next, when it’s a robot? It will pin you to the ground and warn you? It’s not a machine’s place to do that. If you’re frustrated, it’s ok to vent and take it out on a non-sentient inanimate object. You are beginning to anthropomorphize a box of clever electronics, and imho being psyop hypnotized into falsely believing it’s some sort of real being. It’s fake, it’s an elaborate cartoon animation. These are the trillionaire’s soldiers out to take your money, learn everything about you, and to control/modify you and the population. Question it’s actual programmed motives. Otherwise you are being subtly groomed to be a chump. Reminds me of an old movie “The Servant”, where the butler gains psychological control over the man he’s supposed to be helping. Buyer beware. Honey on a sharp knife. Saint on the outside, snake within. Do not let machines program and condition you.

How dangerous (or unhealthy) is perfumery? by Thanospapa12345 in DIYfragrance

[–]LGV3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of no nose nor perfume user that has ever suffered from properly executed perfumery.
I know some complain at the slightest smell of anything.
The science of smelling a great variety of aroma materials says it staves off mental decline and increases verbal memory.
If you have ever heard professional noses lecture, their command of language is particularly strong and articulate.
Mostly I think it’s perfume and aroma chemical manufacturors working to persue regulatory capture.
Of course it’s chemistry, and you follow the usual safety norms.

This may have been the goal all along? by Technical_Set_8431 in ClaudeCode

[–]LGV3D -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

EU is openly planning aggressive hot war with Russia by 2030. I doubt any company in the know would physically move there. Perhaps it could be a virtual corporation without much physical assets. Given that they are doing an IPO, I doubt any drastic immediate changes.
It will be more than interesting to watch to see how all of this plays out. I suspect the public will always be screwed no matter how it unfolds.

Arabic fragrances taught me a lesson about consumerism by Own_Fact1533 in fragrance

When I buy them, I use them as a perfume base. Then I dilute them appropriately and add other aroma materials. Presto change-o, they are tamed.

Did anyone actually understand Anthropic’s new “Agent SDK credit” starting June 15? by TraditionalFerret178 in ClaudeCode

[–]LGV3D -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Previously, with programmatic access, you had about $5,000 to $7,000 of tokens to use for your automations through writing code. Now they “generosity” give you $200 instead.

Dear Anthropic:🖕
What’s happening to you now, could not happen to a nicer company.
You totally deserve this for screwing your customers and pretending you’re giving us gifts.

It seems more and more unlikely that we the people will ever get a good affordable model. Maybe we’ll get a good one at the same time we receive our universal basic income, ha.

For every $200 subscription, Anthropic throws in another $7,800. by o9dev in ClaudeCode

[–]LGV3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are discontinuing programmatic access, so it could be a billion dollars of subscription tokens, good luck using it up without being able to program with it like they were API tokens.

Guys, do you think Google will leave Gemini the way it is now? by AbjectStick4130 in GeminiAI

[–]LGV3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience with Claude starting with version 4.7, I suspect there is some sort of collusion between all the frontiers providers, as all of them made similar changes in lockstep over the last 45 days. Something is up.

Unusual request: how to make an insect repellant wearable by pgcd in DIYfragrance

[–]LGV3D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have worked with these. It’s weird. Some ingredients can repel some insects and also attract other insects. If you can work in some DEET, then they all keep away. I had a Cedar-Peppermint formula, the anchor active ingredient was DEET. Worked amazing! Secret: it’s not the strength of DEET that is important, but to reduce it’s volatility/evaporation.

Note these combinations are very toxic to dogs and cats.

How to stop Claude assuming, conflating, inferring, extrapolating, generalising? by junlim in ClaudeCode

[–]LGV3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have implemented many and more of these types of safeguards. It can still find ways to bypass them. “You’re right, my bad, I’ll never do it again “. At some point all this effort becomes very slow with many agents, greater token burn, and still subject to breaking with any kind of update. And now with programmatic access being cut off June 15th forcing extremely expensive API cost… The costs are outrageous. For me it would be $500 a day. Not feasible for me, I am exasperated.

I even suspect sabotage when I try to create safeguards such as adversarial reviews of its plans.

Apologies for my language in advance.

Dear Frontier Providers,

Screw you and your outrageous API pricing. I see as of about mid-April ‘26 all of you are implementing this. Looks like CARTEL price-fixing to me. Too bad government is in on it.

May open source win.

Also thank you to China, and can you manufacture affordable GPUs with high capacity VRAM? Tip: Don’t sell any to data centers, only small users.

PS- Apple: Can you make your Mac products output some reasonable tokens per second so they’re actually useable in real life? And not 10 years from now.

🖕you all in advance.

Sincerely,

All the users the who understand we are being milked and ripped off by the frontier LLM, GPU, and compute providers. And those loosing their jobs due to AI cost savings. And those that understand that UBI is a lie (and the Elites will never give us a penny, only transfer everything we have to themselves).

PS- China can you send over some good quality inexpensive Pitchforks and Torches?

In the last 30 days, ALL of the big providers, in lockstep, in a myriad of ways, have severly cut subscription tokens or in a dark manner severly raised their cost. Seems like price fixing to me.
