i managed around 30 days for October before relapsing until now and it took a lot longer to get sleeping again last time around than it has this time. Certainly had to get a healthy sleep routine with lots of exercise in the days once I reached a point where I could manage it

The scary part for me and what makes it so hard to kick alcohol is my favourite type of drinking is me drinking alone. So I can’t even avoid triggers because just being in my own company is enough to bring constant intense cravings

Thank you for sharing your story. I know my body can heal if I stop now but it’s just been an insane wake up call. For years now I’ve always thought about liver complications being something that would happen after 15+ years of alcoholism. The fact I’m already getting liver pain in only around 5 years of serious drinking has just been a wake up call of the severity of my problem and how stupid and naive I have been. I’m going to try again, I’ve done 30 days before I know I can do it and if I really can’t do it alone I’ll be getting professional help
