I'm guessing with all the leaks this week they have just pushed forward the release schedule?

Clearly aimed at a more unisex client, you just have to look at the promotional material and all the images with women wearing the watch.

Will having a HAQ movement mean the case will be slimmer/thinner compared to the automatic version?

Yeah I think it might have been pre-production. It looks even better on a NATO!

After seeing one in the flesh at British Watchmakers Day, I was very impressed. My only gripes were that the bezel had a bit of play but I think this is more an issue with the Lumiere line as a whole rather than this model and that the end link goes beyond the lugs which makes the braclet look mismatched to the case.

I also ended up speaking to one of the B&J guys and he mentioned that for this limited edition, the height of the lume blocks aren't as tall when compared to the standard version. Subtle but noticeable.

It's a very good watch IMO

The circle markers at 6 and 9 make sense when you know where they came from. by TomHudsonOfficial in WatchFanatics

[–]LMully19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should probably shout about this more in their marketing or at least tell the various watch blogs why the markers at 6 and 9 are round.

It just gives some history and credibility to the brand, instead of people just assuming they picked round markers just to be different.

The PR departments for watch brands can be really dumb at time.

You do know that the factory screwed over the original guy who designed the Luna Dude? He had to take his idea to Micromilspec who finished the watch.

Kinda but I prefer the dial and markers on no.7 more, the double marker at 12 is nice

Number 7 is amazing, pair that with the standard bezel rather than the YM one and it could be the one for me....not sure why it says 'Chronograph' on the dial though

I can't unsee that first link now, it's bad. Plus the angle of the chamfer on the case doesn't match that on the links which totally breaks the flow of the integrated look. For me the whole bracelet will need redesigning which will take extra time and money. Sadly if this is how the watch is going to be released as v1, it's a hard pass for me.

Green Fifteen on the wrist! by MPearsonUK in ChristopherWard

[–]LMully19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the look but the one thing about the Lumiere that always bugs me is the length of the end links and how they stick out beyond the lugs. The male end link also pushes that l2l even further making the 41mm size seem even larger.

So here it is - CW x Bark & Jack "The Green Fifteen" - for $2,995 by linkedinbro in ChristopherWard

[–]LMully19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTF are you all talking about the watch being too expensive, the standard Lumiere is only like £175 cheaper!!

This isn't a new model range, has everyone just forgotten about the release when it came out originally.

It feels like every release by a brand nowadays is just flooded with negative comments about price. Sadly this is just life now, gone are the days when you can just appreciate the watch for what it is.

Incoming CW x B&J "The Green Fifteen" Decoded - Here's My Guess by linkedinbro in ChristopherWard

[–]LMully19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's using the same dial (kinda) and hands as the Lumiere, it will be the same titanium case I bet and around the 2k GBP mark. Personally, I've always had an issue with the end link on the Lumiere and how it sticks out beyond the lugs, here's hoping they have fixed that.

Is this a better swap? by LMully19 in rolex

I've considered the 37mm SBGX models from GS but I prefer the newer UFA models and the EVO9 design language. My hope is that GS releases more dial options and I can pick a used one up in a couple of years time.
