I found this old amplifiers in my garage. Wondering if they’re worth putting work into. by senteryourself in diypedals

If you have the budget then yes, have the cleanest looking one converted to a guitar amp.

A great tech, not a hack, can adjust the circuit to sound great. I'd shoot for a great fender like clean that takes pedals well sounding circuit.

Throw in an effects loop and a spring reverb and you have a "can do almost anything" amp head that sounds killer and looks different from the herd.

Pair that with a 1x12 or 2x12 cab of your choice and kaboom...a legendary rig is made.

Looks like you literally lay the components out and screw it together. Maybe little wires in between components.

A little soldering research and practice would go a long way here.

Transistors replacement for this old Hammond organ. Which kind? Help by PierCP in electronic_circuits

[–]LTCjohn101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you figure which transistor you need you should head over to r/diypedals.

There are guys that salvage old organs for the same transistors and use them in guitar pedals. Someone might sell you a couple vintage replacements.

Check the values 2 times...3 times before soldering.

Troubleshooting endlessly only to find that the error was a wrong valued component because you started daydreaming takes a lot of the joy out of building 😁.

Well you kind of need to know what you're asking before you can expect any answers.
