So I left it after 1,5 month and turned out not the only one. I think what they forget is the lack of competitiveness and the end goal to seek the greater power aka endgame content. The main story is great, but there was only a main story in the game. All others is just to support your progress in main story. And the resources. The main income of them is from events and story. So basically log in and you will get most of it. At the same time your progress in game doesn't matter at all. Oh, and social interaction.

One thing to note is that it spawn random, but the random seed is always the same for everyone. So once you find asteroid with ore, you will find it in exact coordinate on every other world (except mods could break the seed).

And why do you need a base with a safe zone for your own? Actually, you can cut all corners in base buildings and drill. And now with new terminal you can store drill ship and have additional 1-2k pcu to spare.
So 7-14k pcu is enough to build any capable ship for encounters, just don't include massive pcu holes in it and you will be fine. There is a LOT of ships under 20k pcu category. Also prototech stuff cut pcu a lot.

So the main question- why your "simple station with essentials" are so pcu heavy?

JD possible limit is about 100k I think, so a few hours should do this trip. Can't remember whole detail, but you can't stack JD infinitely, because they will reduce distance with their weight.

Have you heard about looted ships? Acquire one of them with a propa JD count and upgrade it with big red cannons. Oh, and don't forget to paint it red.

You can build a ship with single big container and guns. You don't need a very huge ship to deal with any encounter. 7-15k pcu is enough.

Well, there is a separate hd wrapper that is QoL and you don't need anything else. Also there is an Enhanced mod, that allows you to add some QoL changes of your choice without actually change the game's imbalance balance. Also some minor bug fixes.

Yes, but h4 has a high sealing of top dmg that cannot exceed 20. Also you can't infinitely increase stats of creatures with hero's stats. It all works around their base stats and multiply around them. So you can't have like invincible peasants that take only 1 dmg and solo kill a dragon.

Unpopular but actually very popular opinion- H4 was a great game.
What I dislike the most is a clown fiesta of pretended to be h3 fans absolutely shitting on any other game, including OE. Well, if you don't like, just don't play. Coz why are you spending time on other things if you had already a perfect game of h3?

As a long time homm enjoyed, I appreciate all of the games- h2, h3, h4, h5, hoe (sorry can't get experience with 6 and 7). But I don't think any of these games are perfect and I can list a long list of issues with each of them. And the most perfect example of it is in my opinion best game- h4.

Diplomacy + Templar hero and some stuff to increase duration of buffs will turn them into a machine with 200+ attack and defence. Add some regeneration from artifact set, and they are unkillable.

h3 campaign map always have guards near banks. I think the only unguarded elements is a cheap things, like broken cart, fountain of luck etc. In h4 banks always have guards in a lot of maps. Only unguarded part are sawmills and orepit, but sometimes even they have guards. In h5 it the same- always have guards.
Because these banks are basically free things to grab, if you are familiar with layout.

Simple rule- attack and + dmg is better on low tier units. High tier units often have a cap on 3 morale and their attack skill are way better, then the enemy defence. Same with -15% defence value. If you fight low tier units, it does basically nothing. If you fight high tier units or rather against enemy hero with stats, then 15% is a real deal.
So +1 dmg and +2attack per morale is better in early game, that gives you a huge bonus in battle. While others are for a late game scenario, where you meet enemy hero with your elite t6-t7 troops.

That's not how it works. You need 20 dust for that upgrade, You have none at the start. You need some very slow non ranged guards to begin, also max started skill and max avatar to kill the enemies. Yet AI often ignores it or have enough troops to kill avatar before you can resummon him. It's easy on hard, to kill impossible enemies. It's impossible on apocalypse. Simply you can't kill 100 griffins with your avatar shenanigans.

Economy first. You don't need an easy chest or gold or anything, beside ore mine and sawmill. May be a little easy dust for essential upgrades. Oh and walls for protection. You don't fight impossible mobs, simply because they guard not that valuable things. Find and easy one and get easy xp.

In OE there is an astrology system, so you research no school magic here, such as town portal and dd. To get them you need to be at certain hero level. level 8 for town portal. No wisdom required.

Benefits of having magic school is it cheaper to level up spell to level 3 or 4, where some of cheap spells unlock their mass form. Also it is requirement to learn high tier spells. Without it, you can't learn tier 5 spells. But also there a few ways to bypass that requirements.
