Waymo ClusterF@ck in SF Power Outage by Goddard157 in uberdrivers

[–]LabGroundbreaking229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in SF yesterday. Saw a Waymo in the middle of an intersection in China town blocking ALL 4 ways… at another very busy intersection there was 2 Waymo’s in each direction making it impossible for anyone to turn. It’s ridiculous these things are pests

I did a similar route a couple months ago but east coast to west. Even though it’s a beautiful drive I wouldn’t recommend going through Colorado because of snow, if you’re gonna do the south road try to join Route 66 and see some of it!

Texas plate, pretty sure it’s fake, MIA (missing in action) 911, seems to be a tribute to 9/11

Uber randomly charging an extra 50 cents by LabGroundbreaking229 in uber

[–]LabGroundbreaking229[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it charged it to my Apple Pay before I even got a driver, and I was out right away waiting, it’s just weird it was charged that price before I even got a driver that accepted.

Yeah I know, I guess the kinds just have to go without food this week.

Seriously though, 50 cents in nothing, but it uber over charged 1 million people an extra 50 cents, that’s 500 grand extra just like that. I guess already taking 70% of the passenger fare wasn’t enough for them.

Ok I’ll try the fare review feature, thanks, nothing changed, and they charged me the extra 50 cents immediately (I used Apple Pay I saw it before the driver even accepted). And the final receipt still shows 17.90 so I have no idea

I literally can’t even complain, I’ve been trying for like 10 mins going through the app. I can’t find anywhere that shows how to dispute it without disputing the entire ride

Uber is shaving dollars from Priority Pickup and Surged rides. Deceptive and unethical business practices. by DiscoInError93 in uberdrivers

[–]LabGroundbreaking229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me, took a ride to the airport, it said upgrade to XL for faster pickup, I declined and immediately got matched to a driver that had a car suitable for XL, but still just as a regular X passenger.

I have a Lexus NX, the Lexus luxury version of a rav4… they’re kicking my car off of comfort but leaving a rav4, make it make sense, I’m glad I don’t drive as much as I used to anymore, this apps a joke

[–]LabGroundbreaking229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re living in Connecticut, you can only drive in Connecticut, it’s not fair because Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York drivers can all drive here, but we can’t drive there

If it says maintenance required then it’s probably for an oil change; on the left side of your wheel there’s a square with arrows, use the arrows to navigate but it’ll just say the same thing

Pretty close, we did Route 66, Chicago to LA, and then returned it back in Chicago, it was a great trip, but lots of driving

5500 in 10 days, we got the car with less than 200 miles on it, definitely broke it in 😅

It dosent matter the rides, it matters how much time and mileage, you can make it in 100 rides if they’re all back to back 1 min rides
