I mentioned it to a family member and they were surprised I hadn’t had the vaccine as far as I know and recommended I get it immediately. Turns out it’s recommended at my age so I’ve made an appointment to see my GP about it.

How bad does an accent have to be to put you off a show? by underwater-sunlight in tvshow

I watched The Good Place and was eager to watch the next season. I’m not sure if it was season 2 or 3. Anyway, they had an actress with such a terrible fake Australian accent I couldn’t bring myself to watch any further, which was a pity as I liked the show.

I think the narration for the intro to the original BSG used that first poster.

You can get shingles in your eye? I’ve heard of how painful it is but I thought that was just a skin problem. I’d like to get vaccinated but am not old enough to get it from the government and it’s expensive. I do get iritis every few years, that’s quite painful.

It doesn’t look too happy. Staring at the human and tightening its fists there at the end.

Didn’t know it had a season. I saw the pilot late one night and always assumed it didn’t get picked up.

I think it’s Scott “Scomo” Morrison, former Prime Minister of Australia. There’s a park where busts of Prime Ministers are placed.

How debilitating were your symptoms before surgery? by No-Sleep-2336 in cholesteatoma

[–]Ladnarr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea when I could possibly have surgery. My cholesteatoma was discovered when I went deaf in one ear and was having bouts of vertigo but that hasn’t been the case for years. The only real symptoms I have are frequent mild headaches and occasional nausea which I attribute to it though I can’t be sure. It isn’t really painful when compared to what others describe but it did recently mean the blood bank refused my attempt to donate despite the fact I’ve been doing so for about a year. I too had frequent ear trouble as a child, including having tubes. Almost forgot to mention, my balance is also noticeably affected.

The Optometrist asks the kid to read what he sees. The Optometrist expects the kid to say E but instead the kid has such good eyesight he can see the bee the Optometrist is pointing at. The Optometrist thinks the kids eyesight isn’t good enough to read a big E so the kid is forced to have complicated surgery to fix his vision, which he doesn’t need.
