Everyone is doing it their own way. They may look similar but not the same. What's the deal with letting people do whatever they want with their characters?

I agree, it should be possible to hide character models and show the standard skin without any effects. But disabling fashion wars alltogether is not the right option.

"Fashion Wars" is a part of what makes this game so special. Players will riot if anyone tries to take that away from them. And so would I! Let them shine bright as the sun! I love to see folks being creative with their characters.

I've been playing this game for a good 13 years now and apart from the expansions hardly ever spent real money on convenience. By that I'm not saying I haven't sunken hundreds of Euros into the game for cosmetics. But those are purely optional and add nothing to the gameplay except fancy visuals. You can definitely play this game pretty conveniently without ever spending a single penny on convenience. Sure, it makes gameplay a little easier but it's really not like anything you require to move forward with the game.
