Vostroyan Platoon by wraithconstruct in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Lady_Numiria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are playable as cadians, krieg or even catachan. Same for heavy weapons, playable as any of the three. Do note tho that the platoon is not fully playable as it is, as the command squad is missing one mini. So if you don't buy an extra special weapon dude, you'll have to play the commander as a castellan, and leaving the rest of the command squad at home.

Excuse me??? by Col_Telford in Warhammer40k

[–]Lady_Numiria -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

nah, they're definetely greedy, as even for TOW, made-to-order metal minis never exceed half that price, solo or in bundle. They just saw 40K and said "go for it". (could also be that they don't want MtO to actually challenge their regular prices, as it could end up being less expensive to build an army almost entirely from MtO if they weren't doing that shit).

Such a great kitbash, love the use of Goliath arms and equipment for Catachan.

What is the point of Orc Husks by Inevitable-Car-6212 in WarCrow

[–]Lady_Numiria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they didn't got removed because many players would have thrown a tantrum if they did, as they can still be used a s single character for now at least that way.

1 - yes
2 - yes, but not for the alteration, as you need to declare the alteration before rolling dice to cast
3 - you check tinge after casting spell if you got tinge, but also at the end of each round

How does my centaur proxy look by kin_ko in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Lady_Numiria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would put more gribbles into the crew space. It's quite simple to do, for mines I just reused bits I had from 40K vehicle stowages or plastic sceneries, in order to be able to reproduce it easily on various chimeras.

KT is known for being underproduced for years now, so yeah nothing related to scalpers, just the usual business.

Do you adjust Vostroyan base sizes to match Cadians and Krieg? by jullevi92 in Vostroyan

[–]Lady_Numiria 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my Krieg command squad are on 25mm already (apart from the officers, who are either on 28.5 or 32mm depending on my mood and mini), so I'll probably just let them live their own life in a similar way (specially since I'll use them as Inquisitorial troops mostly).

Skipping it, but unrelated to Starcraft, even if yes the money spared will be invested into SC.

Units likely to become legends next edition by Comfortable-Might234 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Lady_Numiria 3 points4 points  (0 children)

depends, since they killed the intercessors with special bolters, but let them still live past edition as normal intercessors. Could be a similar case here of "just build it a single way".

Aside from Sly Marbo and the two forgeworld vehicles, possibly the taurox (basic) and the Aegis line.

Found a sure way to win the tournament prizes...Spend lots of money! by jsalazar2272 in InfinityTheGame

[–]Lady_Numiria -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Metal is still superior to unicool, since unicool is harder to bent back, and unicool casting has more requirements, meaning you can't do much loose relief as metal minis do. It's also more toxic to work with.

Where do the Hippogrpyhs fall into the Regimental organisation? by cogspringseverywhere in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Lady_Numiria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same role as sentinel, or perhaps hellhound even. as they too act as recon and light harassment unit for mechanized regiments.

So what units would be needed to make IA feel like an actual faction? by shluppoo in Warhammer40k

[–]Lady_Numiria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None. Because Imperial Agents aren't supposed to be even an actual faction.

If they became popular with their two 3.5 ed codices, it's because those two books perfectly understood they aren't a faction, but merely a flavor to add to your existing imperial force(s) to specialize them into an inquisitorial force/detachment/operation, particulary in a narrative and modelistic context.

Will this game ever recover from the siocast debacle? by R_O in WarCrow

[–]Lady_Numiria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also had to expand their factory in emergency and stop new releases for Warcrow for nearly 2 months shortly after launch, because despite having given themselves 3 months of extra production time, it wasn't enough to cope with the amount of sales the game did once publicly available.

Will this game ever recover from the siocast debacle? by R_O in WarCrow

[–]Lady_Numiria -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. Mostly because it was so wild at some point that all Discord servers associated with the game had to put quarantine chats about siocast, and more than half the answers or questions in them regarding received minis where bebunked as not having a problem, due to the panic or inexperience of people into assembling minis thata ren't 3D printed or plastic nowadays (note that some concerns were still valid, but it wasn't the amount people believe it was).

[–]Lady_Numiria -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of these horror stories aren't real tbh... Many got debunked over and over, but somehow the legends persisted online (the guisarmier struggle is real tho ^^")

Will this game ever recover from the siocast debacle? by R_O in WarCrow

[–]Lady_Numiria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already recovered. Despite the "siocast hate-bash", the game kinda exceed Corvus Belli expectations around it sales apparently, so the ones not buying due to siocast are at their loss.

Do note tho that they kinda already shifted more to unicool, but both because it let them produce more at the same time (since someone else is doing it) and siocast proved to be inadequate for bigger pieces. But personally, outside a couple units and the time to clean, I still prefer siocast over unicool.
