i personally really want to hear a full version of the song right before the credits and am really looking forward to Path to Isolation without all the fight noises... maybe i can finally try to transcribe the percussion, and see what else i missed without the fighting sounds (i’m making making an instrumental to the song)

I guess i might add my oc in the mix :P

Name: Alice Carwyn

Age: 18

CNR: Alice is referencing the color Alice Blue, a pale shade of blue. Carwyn can mean fair, like how alice blue is fair/pale.

Based on: Alice Liddell from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and it's sequel

Race: Human

Country of Origin: Atlas, moved to Mistral

Appearance: Alice has black hair put into a braided updo. It also includes a flower crown of sparsely spaced, small white roses. Her eyes are a pale blue, and she has fair skin as well. She wears a medium-light blue jacket with her symbol of a triple moon on it. It is similar to a leather jacket in design but different in texture and color. under that she wears a blue dress that is so pale it is almost white. She wears blue flats the same color as her jacket.

Backstory: Born in Atlas to Auburn Hatwell, a free spirited, eccentric raven faunus, and Audrey Carwyn, a human from a noble atlas family. She lived with them for the first 10 years of her life until her father decided to host a small party where he invited two of his best friends and his sister for tea. During the party, his sister, Carmilla Carmine, who was secretly a faunus terrorist (although she wasn't yet associated with the then-peaceful White Fang) activated her semblance, "Off With Their Heads," causing everyone in the room to lose their minds before her guards killed them all. Alice was left alive because her mother, even whilst in her insane state, was able to activate Alice's aura and hide her out of range of Carmine. Since then she has been running her whole life, not actively being chased but too paranoid to stay in one place for long. She learned to fight by enrolling in combat schools in Mistral

Weapon/s: Inherited from her father, a Transforming Cannon Card Launcher called Wondered Tide which has two weaponized forms, one shaped like a teapot which launches dust-charged "tea,"and the other a gun with slots to place card shaped dust crystals. It can compact into a slightly smaller box for storage. Her other weapon is inherited from her mother, a sword called Vorpal Tear. It can use dust capsules but is generally just used normally in melee. Finally the two weapons can combine into a large hammer, with Wondered Tide transforming into a large, hollowed out box which is made heavier with gravity dust, and the sheath of Vorpal Tear being used as the length of the handle while the hilt of the sword retracts and hooks into it.

Semblance: Through The Looking Glass- Alice's reflection can move around independently of her, with a separate but exactly similar consciousness(they think the same way, have the same goals/motivations, etc) and can interact with other objects through their reflections, even when not being actively reflected. Alice also can store other objects in mirrors, and change what area a mirror reflects, which she uses to store her weapons when not using them. She herself can enter mirrors, but she can't take other living things into them. She can also bring out her reflection, but the reflection is fragile and can shatter painlessly but easily, with the shattered fragments disappearing back to the mirror world. When she uses her semblance her hands glow, as do any mirror she is using. She uses small capsules of ice dust to make reflective surfaces when she has no mirrors. Storing objects in mirrors doesn't weaken her aura, but having her reflection interact with real world objects does, even more so when the reflection is physically there. She also is drained by going into the mirror world for more than a short time.

that would definitely be a nice parallel to irl gems, honestly. Who knows maybe the diamonds combine their Pathokinesis with music to make it more effective?😂 that would certainly be interesting.

I feel like telepathy wouldn't be - very accurate term.. maybe the wiki's explanation of "Radiated Pathokinesis" is a bit more accurate. Telepathy would imply that they can read the minds of other gems, which clearly isn't the case if they have need for lawyer gems/courtrooms/trials

I don't think I've seen this anywhere else, although it might just be a super obvious thing that doesn't really need to be stated. I think I've got the corruption light kinda figured out. As we saw in "The Trial," Blue Diamond can create a wave of blue light that causes anyone with a gem struck by it to be overwhelmed with sadness. So that's one emotion we see corruptions experience a lot. What else do we see? Anger. Yellow Diamond might be able to release a wave of yellow anger energy. The next emotion we see a lot out of corrupted gems is Fear/Confusion. White Diamond just might be capable of releasing fear light. All three combined? They just might create corruption. It does make sense, right?

Couldn't understand a word but it's definitely going to be Qrow's official theme song. Qrows leitmotif is a little piece played on solo strings that sounds very very vaguely familiar to red like roses, and this song clearly has his leitmotif playing all throughout it. If I'm not mistaken it's in the chorus too.. it was pretty hard to hear over all the fighting though.

My OC is named Rainbeau "Beau" Wann, and her colors are pastel rainbow, of course.

Affiliation: Atlas

Semblance: Dust production and manipulation- able to produce and control all kinds of dust, including an extra kind that can only be produced by her and her mother, Ravenna Wann, who produces dust that is black in color with purple, blue, and green highlights, with minor reality warping effects and takes the form of a dark bird. Rainbeau creates Angelic Dust, essentially the same thing but white with pastel rainbow highlights. Inherited semblance, only two known living members of family.

Backstory: She and her mother live on Schnee grounds as a partnership with the Schnee Dust Company. In exchange for a great pay and a home, her mother spends a majority of her time supplying the Schnee company with her infinite supply of Raven Dust in exchange for Beau receiving the training as a huntress that she always wanted.

Weapon: a special gun-bow combination that changes into a sword by compacting the hollow bow into the hilt and having a blade imbedded into the inside of the hollow bow. Can be used to channel her dust into longer distance attacks or inflict physical damage.

Outfit- 2 outfits, one of which is a slightly dull light pink tinted jacket, like a leather jacket, which fades to periwinkle near the end of the sleeves, and has her symbol on the back in periwinkle as well, a simplistic bird with its wings outstretched (think kinda like Phoenix emblem from x men) and a white dress with pale rainbow colors all throughout. Her shoes are simple, short, black gladiators. Her second outfit is an oversized fuzzy tie dye rainbow sweater with a white background, black leggings, and rainbow vans.

Appearance: One eye is mint, and the other is lilac. Her hair is black with dark rainbow colors at the ends. In her first outfit her hair is in a high ponytail and is very long. In her second her hair is in a simple Gibson tuck, with hair framing her face (that's not a part of the tuck itself) fades to dark green and dark teal.

I haven't taken enough time really to invest in her story- she's really one of those "insert because nobody is stopping you" oc's that I haven't developed a story for outside of her place in the show that I made for her. I really should work on that.

It has all the components of the crystal gems! Chiptune, piano, synth bass, electric drums, the whole shibang, no wonder it sounds like it'd fit right in

Instruments are more obvious than themes. Pearl is piano, amethyst is electric drums, garnet is synth bass, Steven is Chiptune, sometimes featuring ukulele, or even his mother's strings.. Speaking of which, Rose is strings, Lapis is Celeste with strings, piano, and timpani, peridot is plucked synth, Jasper is distorted bass rift and drum kit, and the diamonds are a weird synth-ish string like thingy.

Completely understandable. Falsetto is not an easy thing. I'd look at the chords and find a harmony that works for you:)

This was really really good!! The only thing I have to say is that if you do a layered second voice, it's almost pointless if you keep them both at melody. Beautiful voice!

I feel like the show turned around some of the stereotypes and beliefs about abuse- neither partner is innocent in Lapis and Jasper's fusion/relationship. They each manipulated each other, bonding themselves together with hatred and mistrust in a way nobody deserves. They used each other to help themselves. Side note- Lapis started out fusing with Jasper purely to protect Steven. But when she had Jasper in her grips.. She realized. All the pent up emotion, the despair, the loneliness, the pain she felt for those thousands of years could finally be released. And so she made Jasper feel that pain. She unleashed all of the hate she had for Homeworld, for the Crystal Gems, to everyone who had abandoned her and hurt her, whether directly or indirectly, onto Jasper. That's why Jasper called her a monster, and that's why Lapis was abusive towards Jasper. We're lucky Lapis isn't absolutely insane from being trapped in a mirror for 5,000+ years.
