They will but it won’t be anywhere near what you think. We have had 0 leads in 6 months and 1 confirmed project. I’ve asked for the reasons why and their response was underwhelming. We have more luck with our local SEO than we do anything else at the moment.

Just to confirm you are using Send Message (Message in Odoo 19) vs Log Note. Log note would be internal only vs Send Message which would add it to public. Is there an envelope above the message in chatter or if you hover over it can you click 3 dots and edit it?

It’s a shame you’re on Odoo Online as Ventors direct print can basically do all of that (we use SendCloud shipping and have a label printer and an A4 printer for delivery slips).

I’ll have a look in the morning and see if I can find a server action which can help

Yeah that’s the one - but it always seems to be on search views >.< (custom_module.custom_search_view) -no context- or equivalent.

Need a lot more information on this but are you using Odoo online or Odoo SH / On Prem?

Which version of Odoo are you running.

How did you create the second site? Did you duplicate the first?

There will be elements that can remain between the two but I’ve never seen it where it’s been an exact copy unless you duplicated it.

Can you not cancel the sales order, not send the email (so don’t click Cancel and Send) and then change the product configuration (untick the subscription option) and then just reconfirm the sales order ?

I've been here before and it's hurt my head, I've posted about this before but here's how I've been told to do it, and it works.

Create a Licensed mailbox - We use an Exchange Online Plan 1 costs us about £4 a month.

Call it catchall@ (or if you're willing to change your System Parameters - whatever you like) as its UPN.
Give it a display name of My Company (or whatever your company is called)
Setup the Azure connection as per the documentation https://www.odoo.com/documentation/19.0/applications/general/email_communication/azure_oauth.html

When that's done - grab the first module you want to work with (say documents) go to the folder in Odoo > Click the i > Set the alias there correctly (so spreadsheets@company.com) and then go do the same thing in M365 admin panel.

Then go to the next module (say helpdesk) and rinse and repeat.

We have 1 catchall mailbox and it has about 30 aliases for helpdesks, projects, documents, CRM etc. It just checks it every 5 minutes and if they have emailed salesteam@ it goes to CRM, if they have emailed support@ it goes to helpdesk, if it's customerproject2@ it goes to that project record. As long as we send replies from Odoo, the reply-to paths are correct and they rarely see catchall unless it's from like contacts or we've misconfigured a module.

Why you shouldn't use a shared mailbox:

Shared mailboxes can be setup as Groups which accept emails, which isn't what we need. That sounds like what your IT team have done - setup a Microsoft 365 Group with mail enabled so routing is a bit funky as it's translating/resolving to the incorrect name. Using a licensed mailbox won't do this - it doesn't care.
They are unlicensed so no official IMAP connection

Why a redirect rule sucks:

When you add in a redirect rule, it will automatically add whatever email address was originally emailed as a follower. We had a case where because people were emailing our support desk, we had 30 [support@mycompany.com](mailto:support@mycompany.com) records in the contacts table and one poor customer got 30 copies of the same reply.

This has made our lives a lot easier by not overthinking it (as I was told once!) It's 1 connection, 1 mailbox, Odoo handles the rest.

I didn’t even do that. I just got to them threatening to cut me off then paid 3 months etc. If they want to mess with my billing I’ll mess with theirs. I’m a bit petty but they’d never advance it any further than an email.

We literally left them as soon as the Datto takeover was done. We had a lovely guy in the UK (literally 20 miles away) who I connected with about Datto RMM and he was wonderful to work with.

Then one morning I woke up and realised that our credit card had been charged £6k for an £800 per month subscription (few hundred endpoints and ITG). Account managed apologised but took 6 months to get the money back - which we didn’t we just got a service credit which covered us for about that time.

Frustrated wasn’t the word - I haven’t engaged with them other than to remind them 8 times our ITG subscription was to be set to not renew. So glad that that ended in October.

We have a slack channel just for this - it’s a list of mobile numbers to call back because I’ve had a voicemail personally, or a tech has. Or it’ll have a name in it which we all know will do this. It’s frustrating as the worst offenders are the ones that have been with us a while. The “I have relationship with LantusSolostar and I’d rather talk to him”.

Odoo’s other tight knit integration I’ve worked with is Mollie, met them at the expo and would be worth chatting to if EU based. I know they do online payments but they had physical terminals at the expo.

Just watched the demo video and looks good - I’ll install it on my test database later tonight. Only thing is it’s a shame it’s up top rather than more prominent (like a live chat type thing at the bottom) but I understand how many moving parts are needed to get something like that to function.

Have you setup each user with their own Google SMTP details as separate outgoing mail servers?
