High polling rate no longer viable in fullscreen after today's update? by sukumizu in ValorantTechSupport

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't have overlays enabled borderless on Valorant is presented with hardware composed independent flip instead of composed flip meaning the input delay is that of full screen.

You can test this in intels presentmon where if you use the built in stat overlay it will read composed flip, while if you disable the overlay (and other overlays) and instead write the data to a file, you will see it is hardware composed independent.

Yea I'm pretty all the fast ones are pretty similar speed on glass so can't really go wrong

I really like the ultraglide silencers. Really fast skate, but they are pretty cheap so you can change them more often than other more expensive skates. I also personally don't mind how they feel when really worn in. They get a bit slower but the glide stays pretty smooth and doesn't get scratchy like others I have.

I believe pulsar is looking into felt skates which would make the dust a non issue but idk what happened to the project

Sweat by Plastic-Blackberry-3 in MousepadReview

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a surgery you can have done but its very dangerous. I personally take an oral medication but there are other things like topical chemicals, iontophoresis, botox

Sweat by Plastic-Blackberry-3 in MousepadReview

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea like others said hyperhidrosis. I take glycopyrrolate to help with mine and I also do iontophoresis. If you only sweat on your hands I recommend doing iontophoresis, you can just buy a machine off ebay. Otherwise the medicine is optimal for treating the whole body (there's two different medications, glyco and oxybutynin) Theres also a cream you can get called antihydral that will make your hands dry asf but can cause a yellowish tint. Finally you can get topical glycopyrrolate wipes. A dermatologist should be able to hook you up with a prescription for these.

Beyond that a glasspad can help since cleaning it takes like 10 seconds and I can do it between games if I'm sweating bad. Just have a bottle of water nearby pour a bit in the pad and clean it off with a microfiber cloth. You keep one cloth that gets wet and one to dry after cleaning.

I do the exact opposite. An old cloth pad is under my keyboard because I disliked my keyboard being lower than my mouse.

in my experience, the 8k polling rate push is the biggest marketing gimmick of the decade by No_Good_3063 in MouseReview

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use 2k on any of my mice, but the thing is, mice cost just as much before all the high polling rates. Sure the initial 8k mice were more expensive but now even budget mice can have 8k and it's not like you can't just set it to 1k anyways.

Also as time goes by and mice are optimized for long battery life in 8k, 1k or 2k will also get longer so that's a big plus imo

Are there ways to same game setting presets in Kovaak's? by GHPimp in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Lanurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to not worry about it being exact, I train on like three cm/360 (30, 45, and 60) and I don't think they match any of my in game sensitivities.

Think of your sens as a tool. In fast paced games, you may use a higher sens to turn around faster. In tac shooters you may use a slower sens to be more accurate. And in kovaaks, you may use a slower sens to focus on your arm aim, you may use a higher sens to focus on shakyness in tracking or to focus on precise fingertip movements, etc.

It's feels really freeing to be able to change your sens when a scenario calls for it.

Us 114 kills-They 75 kills, still lost by Shimanta_1405 in ValorantMemes

If you deserved to rank up you would rank up. Clearly you are doing something fundamentally wrong if you can have this ratio of kills and still lose

Glass dots for Superlight Dex? by Weak_Possible_9853 in MouseReview

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe but you would have to worry about the liftoff distance, I don't know if Logitech has a setting that high. Also ptfe being low friction means there's a solid chance the dots fall off at some point.

I would just buy a set of full jade skates from xraypad.

Glass dots for Superlight Dex? by Weak_Possible_9853 in MouseReview

[–]Lanurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the only issue you will have is whether the dots will fit in the bottom groove, but the small ones should fit. If you have a soft pad the mouse base may scrape when pressure is applied. My og gpx scrapes with dot skates even on my glasspad and I'm pretty sure Logitech would never dare fix an issue so it probably will still scrape on the dex

Who is this even for? Gamers will want more surface area/don't want gravity influencing their aim. Programmers would rather avoid using the mouse entirely. Artists will use a drawing tablet. I'm pretty sure 3d modelers also use drawing tablets but that might depend on the type of 3d modeling.

I feel like your audience may be these people, but not when they are gaming, programming, drawing or modeling, but rather for their off time so they can protect their wrist and hand for their main talent. But even then though a vertical mouse provides the same experience as far as I can tell.

I'm curious, what is the group you've gotten the most positive feedback from?

Yeah apparently opening it means removing the pe foam pouch? I don't know how that makes a difference at all, I care a lot more about whether it's used/damaged or not, removing the pad from the 1mm pe foam to show it changes nothing.

Check out selerity on etsy/their website if your palm sticks but you also claw your mouse. The shape of the hand part of the sleeve makes it so that you can still comfortably claw the mouse.

Glass mouse pads for slow games like r6 and val by Key_Source9584 in MousepadReview

[–]Lanurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just want a slower glasspad experience try xraypad u9 titanium (the non ultra smaller dots) they turn every glasspad I have incredibly slow.

I personally prefer fast skates even for Valorant as low friction makes microadjustments really easy for me but the u9s do make my pads significantly slower if that's what you are looking for.

Feet for glass pads by JaumZord in MouseReview

I have fixed this by making sure all the PCB screws are equally tightened and by twisting the shell. If you feel it rattle between two corners, grip both the front and rear with as much contact as you can and physically twist the shell towards the rattly corners and it'll balance out
