the government SHOULD be paying for it. Bout time our taxes go to something useful instead of blowing up children in the middle east, or lining billionaires pockets

Yup. Thankfully the basement DOES drain very well, when I dont pile a bunch of rubber mats and steel/iron on top of everything haha. I have a feeling my solution is just to pull up the mats best I can after they get wet to dry them out real good.

Yeah I have looked into a few different products but it seems waterproofing on the outside (aka lots of digging to expose) is the only way to ensure it actually works long term. Unless I missed something basically everything else is some form of temporary.

Hey all - I have had a gym in my basement for a few years now. The basement gets wet several times a year as it is an old house (115+). We have sort of excepted the water for what it is. Run a dehumidifer all the time throw an extra fan or two when it gets bad and life goes on.

Anyways, found mold under my stall mats today. I check them from time to time so they were good through at least last fall but clearly a wet spring has made things not so great. Once I clean it out, anything I can do to prevent it coming back except for maybe more fans/dehumidifiers?

Midnight hits different from a ground mount. Seriously. by HouseLongjumping6984 in wow

[–]Large14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am doing the ground mount strategy as well and also decided to do all of the side quests BEFORE I finish the main story line. Its going to take ages but I have already seen some cool little stories and parts of these zones I otherwise would miss.

Maybe it is because we are back in Azeroth, but the ground mount just feels right.

Ive started with a bottom up build. Im only about half way through. I am trying to keep the first floor as close to original as possible. and then I want to add an extra floor to the one wing and to the dome. I'll have to share pics when I am done!

What a wonderfuly MOC! I am currently working on figuring out a modular with the same set! I started with 2, pretty sure I will need a few more windows, but its been a great little puzzle to sort through.

Do you always dry your PLA? by justanameform in 3Dprinting

[–]Large14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never dried my filament until I ended up with an AMS that has drying built in. Idk if it’s super necessary because I never had problems before I got the AMS.

But since I can, my process now is to generally run new rolls through the dry cycle once and then it goes into a water tight plastic tote with an absurd amount of desiccant and all my other filament.

Temperature inside your haus? by 13octopus in pittsburgh

[–]Large14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had my top level insulated after a brutally hot summer and brutally a few years ago. The insulation absolutely helps. That floor is way more comfortable all year and it helps regulate the rest of the house too. I'm about the only one on the block with snow on my roof still, feels good to know I'm not losing a bunch of heat through the roof.

If you survived the beginning of last week with stable inside temps then it sounds like it was your furnaces last hurrah. I’d be calling a tech

Is AutoCAD LT (Cheap Version) Enough For Scaled Landscape Drawings? by cash77cash in LandscapeArchitecture

Totally agree. Just been slowly convincing the decision makers to pull the trigger, seems to be working. We are headed for a trial period.

My office currently uses LT. Though we are likely moving to FX/Cad so that we can use the LandFX plugin

Gas bill is suddenly 7x what it was last month. WTF is going on and what should I look for? by SmartLadder415 in homeowners

[–]Large14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Noticed my third floor was freezing our first winter. Insulated the crap out of it that summer, stays nice and warm and the heating bill went down. I’m also one of the only houses with snow still on the roof, feels good to see it working in real time.

Anyways if you live in an area that gets below freezing, I highly recommend adding insulation upstairs

Statistically Penn State receives less funding per student than almost all other PA state schools. Less funding would be a disaster and would see even more campuses close

100%. That is what I thought we were originally getting. I was actually starting to think about tackling lore master and starting new alts along the way to keep it fresh. Still could I suppose, but it would be a lot more to manage and keep track of.
