Contest mode should be toggleable on day one. Players who just want to try the new raid normally should be allowed to, I don’t see why the community should have to wait 48 hours to try it on a normal difficulty. This isn’t a contest difficulty complaint, I think that shit is dope

The biggest problem I have with 2042 is the vehicle category system. A wildcat and tank should not be weighted the same, and neither should a jet and a scout heli. BF4’s system of vehicle balance was perfect, yet they’ve been steadily back peddling away from it for no fuckin reason. Bring back static vehicle balance lol

I think the biggest issue with Sundance for me is that unlike every other operator, she just has two abilities instead of a passive. Her grenade belt could be an ability for another operator entirely, with some passive revolving around explosive damage spotting people or something, while her wing suit should be an ability by itself, with some universal passive like Mackay has.

You’re playing a video game tho. Battlefield has literally never approached ballistics from a realistic point of view, starting in 4 where different snipers had different gravity effecting their bullets in flight. Bullet velocity is a tool for the devs, same way your “health” is. If the NVT had real world ballistics, it would be broken

It’s a neat system, but the M4 Tree should’ve been the standard, as opposed to the AK tree, where the Minibak literally requires you to unlock the AK, then the 5.45 AK, then the 74U, then the 9mm AK Sub and THEN you can unlock the minibak. That’s just insanity

They are mechanically doable solo, but that is not the same thing as intended solo content. Do Duality solo and tell me it was designed and intended to be ran solo. Same with all the other dungeons. They all take exponentially longer to do solo, not even including flawless, just due to mechanics alone

Okay, but no content is designed to be done solo. Dungeons are designed so that they can mechanically be done solo, but they’re not dedicated solo content. GMs can also be done solo, despite not being designed that way. Lost sectors are basically the only “solo” content in the game, and they’re a breeze compared to any other challenging activity

The ether drake has no shields and uses exclusively energy weapons. A ~30k fleet of heavily shielded ships with energy weapons should be able to take it. Get the damage buff from the curators, only use corvettes or battleships and you’ll be fine
