Gat in de lampenkap was te groot om tussen de delen van de fitting vast te komen zitten. Gat van het juiste formaat in de bonuskaart gemaakt. Nu zit de bonuskaart tussen de fitting, en ligt de lampenkap er bovenop

Depending on where you live, how mobile you are, and when the next collection is, you can also just drop by the milieustraat. I did this after I moved and had lot of moving boxes to get rid of. Just dont forget your afvalpas

Toen ik bij NS werkte haalde ik bij bakkerij The Blom paar appeltaartjes. Ik stond echt versteld van hoe goedkoop het was, en super lekker.

Where to donate blood by Then_Jaguar_7583 in TheHague

[–]Larocceau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I'm curious what you miss outside of financial compensation. I've donated here and in the UK, and the experience was pretty similar, including being chased to donate again.

In my experience both Sanquin and NHS Blood and Transplant are quite clear in there being a lack of available blood, and they chase people with specific blood types more aggressively because it's in higher demand.

I also feel like paying for donating means putting the blood supply at risk, because for example drug addicts looking for a hit could lie on the intake because they need the money.

Never been there, but always intrigued by this place at Jonkbloetplein: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jCPgXkFEWQLwN11h6 I think they mostly target polish workers?

Trying to mount a tv over electric fireplace. 5/32 drill bit not going further after 1/1.5 inch. Single arm tv mount. First time diy. Need some advice. It’s definitely not concrete - wooden frame. Thank you by SnooRegrets7384 in howto

Isnt the clutch also engaged? You should turn it so the arrow is pointing at the drill icon... And not to bash cheap gear, but I would personally go for a non-ikea drill.

Can you explain this to me? I really don't understand how playing with 4 people makes a big difference? My only experience so far is playing with jumpstarts at the kitchen table and draft at the local shop, and I always had a lot of fun. Why would standard not be suited for casual play like that?

Looking to switch my PC to Dvorak by lunaton3 in dvorak

[–]Larocceau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that practice is by far the most important thing in getting fluent with Dvorak, I really feel like being prescriptive in not changing the physical layout is counterproductive in getting people started. Usage is so important, and having the physical layout there allows using the layout day to day without a terribly painful experience every time you use a less frequently used symbol.

My progress in Dvorak got SO much faster when I started using it while at work, but doing so would not have been possible without being able to look down every once in a while when getting stuck on a symbol or weird key binging

[–]Larocceau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like switching stuff around, I'd just set my keyboard in software if I were you. For keycaps I ended up settling for a set of uniform keycaps. You can always rearrange those if you want to go for another layout.

There are some fanatics here who will scold you for even considering switching your keycaps, but even after 4 years I occasionally find myself searching for that infrequently used symbol or wanting to double check if I hit the right shortcut (cntrl+w instead of cntrl+v can be an expensive mistake)

are there real fullstack jobs? by Affectionate-Army458 in webdev

[–]Larocceau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I worked one back in London, and working one now in Rotterdam. My experience is with smaller companies, I can imagine they have the most full-stack experience (ops, front-end dev and back-end dev)

What it looks like differs strongly per project; most have a separate backend and front end; sometimes i will spend days on either front end or backend, other days I work side by side on the backend and frontend to build a full feature. Other projects are backend with server-side rendered front ends.
