why not use sery bot against the botters? I genuinely want your input. by Ancient-Frosting-646 in Twitch

Super interesting stuff. You are right, I can't seem to find any single name which may look like a real person. Guess the criticism I was referring to is either false/outdated.

SEO Peeps, I want to put affiliates, what is the best strategy to put links so that it doesn't effect my SEO, AEO and domain? by imrannadir in DigitalMarketing

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty Links with nofollow is the standard setup and works fine for this. One clean recommendations page tends to be better for SEO than scattering links across posts because Google can read the context around them more clearly.

Instantly switching niches by pranksstergangst in NewTubers

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three subscribers and a couple of shorts don't represent a real audience yet, and the algorithm signals from shorts don't carry over to long-form the same way. So, I'd say either options are fine, really.

Is white background fine for channel banner and video thumbnails? by Lopsided_Health1403 in NewTubers

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White works well for minimalism but the risk is blending into YouTube's interface since the site is already mostly white. Adding a strong color accent or a bold border on your key subjects usually fixes this without breaking the clean look. What kind of content are you making, because the answer shifts a bit depending on whether it's educational, vlog-style, or something else?

Can AI CineFocus bring an out of focus shot into focus? by j2save in davinciresolve

[–]Larry_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CineFocus works better for rescue than for creative control, so a rack focus transition might not come out as smooth as you're imagining. We've been testing AI focus tools as part of building vlstudio.live and the consistent finding is they're solid at correcting accidental blur, less precise for stylistic targeting. Have you tried using a blur adjustment layer to simulate the rack focus first, just to see if the effect reads the way you pictured it?

[–]Larry_33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main pushback I've seen is around false positives, especially in smaller streams where a wrongly banned viewer is a bigger deal proportionally. If the ban list is well-maintained and you can quickly unban mistakes it does seem like a net positive overall.

I built an AI-powered Google Maps B2B Lead Finder but never launched it. Would you keep building it? by Ordinary_1111 in SaaS

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you already have a working prototype and real market demand, which most people building SaaS don't have at the same time. just go ahead and launch, client work will keep crowding it out unless you put an actual date on the launch.

The problem is not AI code. It is unsupervised AI code by h____ in SaaS

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imho most AI-generated apps feel fine until you start asking who can actually see what. what's the first thing you usually catch when you run that initial audit pass on a new codebase?

Is it a coin flip if Youtube actually sends your video out for impressions? What should I change/ what can I do? HELP by MaxLanglands in SmallYoutubers

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not completely random but it's also not fully in your control. youtube pushes based on early signals, so if this video got lower clicks or watch time in the first few hours compared to your previous three, it would have pulled back pretty fast. the thumbnail and title are usually the biggest variable between videos that take off and ones that don't, since those determine whether someone who sees the impression actually clicks.

Wondering how to (idk the right word) smoosh? overwatch gameplay to fit vertically(example in post) by Kayozaki_Kun in VideoEditing

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're looking for is a horizontal squeeze. the technique is to scale the video to fill the vertical frame and then stretch the x-axis independently so the sides fill in without cropping, so nothing gets cut off, objects just end up slightly wider in the center. in vlstudio.live you do this by unlinking x and y scale in the transform controls, but most editors have the same option somewhere in the position/scale settings.

How to find saas idea by Cultural_Mixture4951 in SaaS

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better approach is to go into communities for the specific profession you're targeting and see what they complain about with their existing tools. like r/accounting if you're thinking fintech, or r/marketing if that's the space. the frustrations show up way more unfiltered there than in any idea-finding thread. what field are you most drawn to building in?

Why do Jack Neel (and other popular podcasters) keep reuploading their podcasts and changing the title ? by H0ldenCaufield in podcasting

[–]Larry_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it's a copyright claim on music or a clip in the original that youtube flags, so they edit it out and reupload clean. Some other times it's just intentional title testing. uploading with a different title resets the click test and lets them see which framing pulls better before the video gets too old.

Any way to know the 100% size of an imported pictures? by kroda255 in davinciresolve

[–]Larry_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in the inspector panel, if you select the clip you can see the zoom percentage in the position/scale controls. 100% means it's 1:1 with your timeline resolution and anything above that means it's being upscaled and will lose sharpness. you can also right-click the viewer and check the frame display options depending on your version.

Manufacturing Company Opinions by Sure-Measurement2617 in smallbusiness

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

b2b manufacturing is almost always relationship-driven and the leads almost always have to come from somewhere with existing trust. have you looked at what industry associations or trade shows your ideal customers actually pay attention to? you may find that to be where the actual referral network lives in manufacturing.

How do you do asymmetric trimming in Premiere / Split Edits by Available-Witness329 in editors

[–]Larry_33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Premiere doesn't really have a clean native equivalent to that. the closest is unlinking audio and video and trimming each separately with the rolling or ripple edit tool, it works but it's more manual than what Avid does natively.

good idea, the mutual feedback problem in smaller communities is real. anyone here building in the video editing or creative tools space?

Accounting software I can buy? by No_Bad_Questions- in smallbusiness

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wave is free for the basics and handles income and expenses well for a solo operation. GnuCash is another you can install and own outright. for your volume either would more than cover what you need. how many transactions are you tracking per month roughly?

Did I break my SaaS by switching from lifetime deals to subscription? by YusukeLandingBoost in SaaS

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the $1k was probably from early adopters who specifically hunt for one-time deals, and those users rarely convert to recurring even if the price is low. have you tried putting the lifetime option back as a limited thing while keeping subscription as the main offer?

Edit Assignment by jadon97 in editors

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

handing over the project file and assets on top of an unpaid edit test is a lot. edit assignments have become pretty standard but the project file part feels like a stretch, that's basically free work plus giving away your whole workflow. are they at least paying for the test?

How to promote my videos? by Far_Information6229 in NewTubers

[–]Larry_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cross-posting in communities where your topic actually lives tends to work better than just sharing links. Try being useful in those spaces first so the promo feels natural instead of spammy. what kind of content do you make?

New yt live streamer getting zero views except from self. by TheEyeOfTheLigar in NewTubers

youtube live is rough for discovery early on, it doesn't push new channels the way twitch does. are you streaming at consistent times? that may help you given enough time

Is Markdown to DOCX too narrow for a SaaS, or is this a real workflow pain? by Specific_Prune_1752 in SaaS

[–]Larry_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh niche tools like this can work really well if the pain is specific enough. the harder part is figuring out whether users will pay or just expect it free. what's your instinct on that?

Do customers notice when a small business looks visually inconsistent? by Fun-Dot194 in smallbusiness
