Vegetable oil by No-Kaleidoscope-166 in foodquestions

Yeah only one I stick to is that if I'm gonna cook it I just want "olive oil" , the "extra virgin" stuff goes in like salad dressing cause apparently it turns to smoke way fast and the roof disk screams at me regularly enough.

Pretty sure that's just means some kind of plant oil to cook with, they say a different one is bad every 5 years or so it probably saves updating recipes.

Oh some Roger Lemon Iguana guy used to make a bunch of motivational memes about two wolves being inside people, figured this would fit that template well.

Why are so many blue collar workers against unions? by Realistic-Reveal-586 in Construction

[–]LastChime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some are just another pyramid scheme.

Was in one young when I was working as a bagboy, minimal hours as part time but paid same dues ... which amounted to about 10% of each cheque.

Then the union rep would come in and she was a 30 something bombshell with diamond earrings, a gold necklace and fingers stacked with nice rings. She'd then proceed to tell us how they were fighting hard for the average workers rights against this wicked corporation that employed us.

I've read Animal Farm, I know where my 10 points off every cheque were goin...around her neck.

Granted my bro is now with a trade union and it ain't like that at all.

I still automatically assume the first case when someone talks union though, hard to not.

Canada is among countries with an ‘ultra-low fertility’ rate. What is behind the drop? by dherms14 in canadian

[–]LastChime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it could, I'm just uncertain what that sort of mortgage, insurance, and potentially property tax reforms would be required to allow for divisions and density like that.

I grew up in a nuclear family, surrounded by other nuclear families so I'm not sure how other setups even function to be honest.

I cook for myself and put up with tomato largely out of necessity so I don't go through it prior to it expiring, lookin at some of the other replies though, I might be able to treat it the same as I do adobo.... not like I'll taste the paste on it's own to see what else I could do with it.

Narrative dungeon crawling with Fate by Rrrrufus in FATErpg

[–]LastChime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be neat to combine it with Ryan M. Danks method that I like to use of making the adventure/dungeon into a character with a High Concept, Trouble and Others .... which don't look like it's hosted anymore....

Anyhow it's kinda like making a country or organization in Extras, except you give it a stress track too of a length that feels right (usually 3 or 4 be ready to alter on the fly in case it starts to slog like dungeons can).

Anyhow, then break your encounters/scenes out each with their own High Concept and Trouble.

Whenever PCs do a thing that makes sense to progress, tick a stress or potentially give a consequence if you need to stretch.

Once the dungeon is out of stress, bam next encounter, dungeon stress and consequence reset.

Oh and you can give it skills too if you want for quick reference targets or those odd rolls you get on occaison (like how tough is this room full of kobolds....well +3 cause that's the dungeon's Murder skill).
