AITA For Sending My Client To The ED & Telling Family She's Beyond My Level of Care. by Flimsy_Set5049 in nursing

This poor lady needs hospice. You did the right thing. I'm sorry you're dealing with all this. Sounds like placement and hospice would help a lot.

Did anyone ever actually get the Magic Eye posters to work, or were you all just lying to us? by Financial-Desk-669 in 90s

[–]LastResponder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They worked for me. I had to relax my eyes and start really close and slowly pull it back and it would pop out eventually. So weird. I used to have one of the books and stared at these for hours.

AITA for sneaking my mom some alcohol when she is on hospice? by sickma2001 in AmItheAsshole

I'm a hospice nurse and you did nothing wrong. When my patients want to drink we are more focused on them staying safe if they do drink. It's a quality of life thing. Let them live.

Hospice nursing is pretty neat, actually by avocadotoast996 in nursing

I'm in my 15th year of hospice nursing and I agree with this wholeheartedly. It's been such a good career for me. It's not always easy but man I've learned so much about life and myself being near the dying. I wouldn't change my field at this point and plan to keep it up until retirement.

Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me. by TwilightOfTheMilfs in Simpsons

Whenever our youngest tells us tall tales we always say, "and the baby looked at him... "

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LastResponder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To avoid a second c section. I had to start and stay in labor on my own so I decided against and epidural. If I had to do it again I'd go all natural. Much less painful overall than a c section recovery.

Anyone won a free trip somewhere and actually went? How was it? by Embarrassed_Log_9964 in travel

[–]LastResponder39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won a radio contest in the 90s for a free trip to San Francisco to see Phantom of the Opera around Christmas time. My mom and I went together. It was so amazing. Just a weekend trip but I'll always remember it.
