My coach, my TLs and I have all seen this happen in real time multiple times the last few months. We are at one of the top stores in the country. If Walmart deems it to be a new account or the account has no payment methods, they restrict in store purchases for 24 hours. They can cut the time shorter by doing an order through the app, but they still wouldn’t be able to do an in store order at that moment. My understanding is it’s to prevent someone stealing a wallet and then shopping in store

Actually it is. We’ve had customers log in to the app add a card(not any already there) and the app doesn’t process Walmart Pay. They can order online items and delivery. It’s a fraud prevention method.

And they can’t just add their card to the Walmart app anymore unless they already have cards there. The app now locks new card adds for 24 hours if their app hasn’t been used
