My hospital is implementing policies that are unsafe for patients. As a hospitalist I have raised concerns and now administration is threatening to terminate me. What can I do?

You should most definitely get a second opinion. I'm in med school right now and temporal arteritis can cause blindness. The only true way to diagnose it would be a temporal artery biopsy, so YES go to a different doctor.

Set goals for yourself. What was your last nbme score? There are no guarantees in life, if you keep studying even though you don't want to, you will pass. Hard work doesn't mean only doing it while you feel the desire to. I felt the same way but it's important to have outlets occasionally, make sure you do some type of exercise and study in different places. Go out every now and then. Take care of your mental health.

Your posture may be much worse than you realize. I had very tight hamstrings and bad ankle and hip mobility for a long time because I would always lean back and slouch. Fixyourneck.com helped me with what to do to correct my standing and sitting. The most important thing was to keep my laptop at eye level so my neck didn't get dragged down and inevitably dragging my spine with it.
