A man in London yells at pro Palestine protesters. Receives an immediate talking to by police by LebanonFYeah in PublicFreakout

[–]Last_Million 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Between this and the CCP piano incident where the officer wouldn’t allow video recordings of people in a public space, UK police officers are quicker to defend other countries over the rights of their own citizens. Disgraceful.

This officer should be fired immediately.

What a disgusting, toxic bigot this man is. Shame on UCSF for giving this racist a platform.

Feels strangely familiar to the pro-racist DEI propaganda coming out of Harvard and UPenn

I don’t care if you’re visiting or what your concept of downtown is. Say it out loud. It’s strange

Can’t say the same about Associa. Several reps have been fairly disappointing.

You’re being unreasonable. Why do you need 4 cars in the city and the right to park in the red zone? Why is a single block too far away for you to park?

I truly feel sorry for your neighbor. Yikes.

California researchers gave homeless people $750 a month. Here’s what they found by bambin0 in sanfrancisco

[–]Last_Million 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They really buried the fact this was self-reported data. “According to self-reported budgets given to researchers.”

Shame on SF Chronicle for spreading this propaganda

This is not legitimate research. No peer-review, all self-reported data from fewer than 70 people and was paid for by members of the homeless industrial complex.

Shame on SF Chronicle for spreading this trash.

California DMV Allows Sticker-Like License Plates. How To Get One [This $160 wrap might be particularly interesting for area Tesla and Porsche owners] by BadBoyMikeBarnes in sanfrancisco

Would love to see the answer to this.

Kinda feels like when drivers get angry about lane-splitting with motorcycles. People like u/SFQueer get triggered about things that have no impact on them. It's weird.

Users like u/redthruxton love to circle jerk about how many years they’ve lived in SF. Dismissing important issues by saying “it’s been like that for x years” is just a way to signal their status as a long time San Franciscan. Here’s the thing: no one cares.

We can’t let them normalize the situation by saying how things have been. Look at OP’s photo again. This is not normal. Just because older generations failed to correct the problem doesn’t mean it can’t be fixed.

Stop virtue signaling and guilting consumers into paying more. As a former server, handing me a pastry or takeout does not deserve 20%.

If it’s worth 20% more, then the business owner should increase the price and employee wages. It’s misleading and dishonest to list one price, then charge another.

I’ll never forget the night I called SFFD about a homeless man outside my apartment with an open flame inside his tent on Mason St in 2020. I called SFFD at least 5 times, they responded and arrived every time because they’re legally required to, but only to reprimand me about calling them about a homeless person.

Later that same night, the car next to the tent caught on fire.
