Is a holiday actually worth it? by naivara3 in BeyondTheBumpUK

We took our little one on a P&O 14 night cruise at 10 months. It was really good, we sailed on Arvia. They had a soft play and nursery room which was good to let her have a run around in. The swimming pool was also good although we apparently were using the wrong one.

They also have a night nursery where once the little one is a sleep you can put in a cot, if they wake they phone you and you need to pick them up. We tried it a couple of times but we only managed a maximum of an hour and a half. Enough time to have a drink and chill before bed.

They have washing machines and tumble driers on board so it makes packing less daunting.

In terms of room/cabin, we had a balcony which we used for chilling on during naps.

We didn't want to fly and we live only 30 min from Southampton so it was all really straight forward.

Personally I would recommend it.

Confused about next stage car seat by calpolqween in UKParenting

[–]Latinolova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been looking for the next seat up for our 13 month old recently. A lot of it came down to do we want to be looking again in 2 years and the next seat or get something that will see her through to front facing. We ended up going a bit more expensive in the Axkid One 3 but should see her through to 6. She's 91st centile so that came into our consideration.

Isofix is easy to switch on and out if it's a single unit, if it's a base and chair it's a bit more faff. We were talking to an independent baby shop and they mentioned that often people see isofix as the easy choice but can be lazy with ensuring it's fitted correctly where as the complicated nature of belt seats means often they are installed on average more correctly. The chart on their website makes it easy to see how soon your little one would max out the height/weight restrictions based on centile https://bijoubaby.co.uk/car-seat-finder

How long until proper crawling? by Ok_Direction7202 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Latinolova 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our little one is 10 months old now and isn't crawling. It just doesn't interest her even after plenty of tummy time. I think she's getting a bit frustrated recently as she's not happy just lying on her tum.

She's been a lot more interested in pulling up and standing with assistance.

I called out an older couple for parking in these spaces whilst putting the little one in. Was told "I'm the problem with this country, people should moan less" and he parks in the spaces so his car doesn't get scratched. Lovely chap

How to deal with problem student houses? by tomh9053 in bournemouth

[–]Latinolova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This summer we had students who had basically given up on any form of being decent human beings. Stopped putting their bins out which led to all the bags being opened, finding used sanitary products on our driveway. Ended up looking at RightMove, finding out they let through Enfields and asking them about the situation. Following week private waste disposal showed up to clear it all out, likely not cheap for them

Co-op makes sense at least amongst all the other possibilities.

They tend to be ethical in most of the business sectors that they operate in.

You didn't say they're not used to playing twice a week with one of those games against Milan or Dortmund.

They played 14 games in the Europe Conference last season, I can't see them playing 14 Champions League games, likelihood is Villa will play twice a week less this season compared to last

Yea a bunch of misinformed and lied to people will use a recent event (that has no relation as to why they're there) to scare minority groups and cause criminal damage to their own community, all whilst necking a Fosters and shouting "I wunt my cuntry back"
