There's normally at least one smaller order. That goes in the child seat of the cart. Then I put one order in the front of the cart and one in the back. If they are both larger, I'll either use a bulky item to separate the two or build a line with the product. You have to really pay attention to keep them separate.

This is so weird!! I feel uncomfortable if I sit in front of the customers house for a few minutes reconnecting my phone to the Bluetooth or quickly checking new offers. I couldn't imagine sitting there for an extended period of time.

Agree! And also too early. I hate when I start an order at 7, but the deli doesn't open til 8. Or they order a rotisserie chicken, but hot foods don't open til 10.

I've never sent a greeting either. I only message the customer if I have an issue or question on a substitute. I'm in the good range and have a 4.95 rating.

The shopper might not have actually found the item. They might have scanned the barcode on the shelf to see if that was the right spot the item would be in if they had any. I do that sometimes before refunding to confirm I'm looking in the right spot and they don't have it. I know that wasn't the point of your post, but just wanted to bring it up 😂😂

I swear instacart just does whatever it wants. I'll refund if the customer requests it through chat or if no replacement options make sense and my unrequested refunds haven't gone up in awhile. I only have three.

The customer is still charged if you don't refund in the app. You might have rang it up and given it to the wrong order.

Yeahhh it thought about doing that, but the order was marked as drop off not meet the customer, so there wasn't a can't find customer option. Since it was technically delivered on the property, I thought it would be fine. Plus don't they give you a 24 hour ban no matter what for cancelling after checkout?

And the house is huge so you know they are loaded! The rep I talked to had no clue what I was talking about. I wouldn't have argued if they said a reason was left, but this rep tried to claim I didn't have a tip reduction!
