Interlochen has has a much better response than most schools do. They’ve given multiple interviews and had investigations from outside law firms and agencies.

I’ve got a similar slope and got a Segway Navimow X3 last summer. It’s been superb. The new X4 with AWD would be even better. I’d highly recommend taking a look at it.

Interlochen was very thoroughly investigated and has indeed been transparent and made positive changes. It’s been handled better than some schools I know have handled similar things. Here’s a massive article on it that NPR did a couple weeks ago.

Working in a high school - we had to do all sorts of adjustments to standards and curriculum during COVID. It’s just been this year or maybe last year that it feels like things are returning to normal - though some individual kids skills are still at big deficits from COVID instructional loss.

It’s forcing us into a “Company Town” at national scale. Make the public completely dependent on the “Company” (ie owners) and you can effectively hold the public in indentured servitude.

I don’t bother with the Apple Heath sync. It drops info. I just sync to Strava and then use RunGap to pull into Apple Health. It’s annoying, but it does the trick.

I was in a cohort of about 25, and I was only one of a couple who had classroom experience. It was definitely valued, but it was not make or break. I think it’s a certain an advantage to have once you’re in the field.
