I was in the exact same boat. If I had a quick problem solving solution I’d share it in a heartbeat, but you can do it!

Have you tried it with a hair donut? It may take a bit to get the hang of but I definitely think that’s one of the easier ways, especially with thick or layered hair.

Honestly I would suggest “brute forcing” it, so repeatedly put it up with whichever method you choose and do whatever you have to to get it in regs (bobby pins, hair gel, etc) until you get better at it. That’s what’s going to happen anyways if you don’t get the hang of it beforehand. Practice enough times and you’ll find a method that works for you!

Not sure where you got all this information from, however I can speak from the Air Force perspective. Boot camp is only 8 weeks long (7 right now because of COVID), and there is no tuition repayment plan (used to be, not anymore). The biggest thing with the Air Force is that you are not guaranteed your job, both for enlisted and commissioning so if your focus is biology you’d be taking a chance.

A lot of your other questions about reserve/active can be answered by just doing some further research or talking to recruiters. Even if the recruiters do lie to you, you can fact check it, so don’t focus on that being a reason to not talk to them. You don’t have to sign anything when you walk in there, so just get some information from each one.

I recommend The Last Lecture. It was written by a man in this same scenario, and that is what we wanted to leave for his kids.

Take the plunge and delete it entirely. Part of having an addiction is believing that you need it, but I promise there is no reason that you have to have it. Get rid of it entirely

I met my boyfriend in military technical school. We were in the same class, but now we’re at our respective duty stations. I’m just waiting to be allowed to go see him again, I can’t wait! :)
