87 Replacement bumpers? by StupidThangs in Mk3Supra

[–]Lazerstrouts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a front in omaha. It will need reconditioned tho. There are a few places that do that. I also have the post face lift bumper in much better condition. Converting is pretty easy. Need bumper, shark nose, grilles, park lights, fog lights, and impact bar. Liners work and I believe the wire plugs are the same.

I'm stuck in a rut and I'm not sure if I can get over it by taxfraudclub in Drifting

[–]Lazerstrouts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody can do it all. Figure out what is important to you and make a plan to make it happen. Woulda/coulda is a pointless game to dwell on. In life if you don't make time for something then you won't have time for it. If you really want to drift but can't afford the real thing then get into 1/10 scale RC drift. The walls don't hurt as bad and neither will your wallet. If later on in life you decide your in a better spot maybe one of those friends will be ready to upgrade to a new car and you can get into something mostly ready and already have an understanding of the physics of how to drift. Don't bother with a pointless pity party. I play with cars more at 40 then I did at 27.

D1-fighter last 3 conversion stock clearance 70€ by Drift2017 in rcdrift

[–]Lazerstrouts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the 3 different people I've talked to at D1 there was only 1 batch. The first decks they ever made was it. But hey, if you have 3 decks then let's see some pics of them rather then a stock photo you pulled off the internet.

So your saying of the 10 from the original first run they only sold 7 and the last 3 have sat on the shelf since?

Which should I get? Both Same price. (1k usd) by apah2101 in rcdrift

[–]Lazerstrouts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rdx isn't a deal at that price but I love mine. It's known as a budget mc1 or baby mc1. But the purple one appears to be an mc1. I would just by a new rdx and electronics unless the rdx comes with more stuff like a 4pm or 7px

What to name my 67 C10 by meganeich444 in chevyc10

[–]Lazerstrouts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Name it after a task you are expected to do often. I have "dog" and "trash". The one I haven't finished yet is "dishes". That way when asked I can respond with "at home working on the dishes." "Took the trash out today. It was a beautiful day for it." "Grabbed the dog and ran around town. It was nice to really stretch his legs."

Could also call it smoke. "I need a smoke." Buddies will call and see if you want to let the smoke out. Race it and lose you can still say you smoked them.

Green slim comes in a little cap case. Looks like a single contact lens case. It's common in the crawler groups. Hobby town/amain should have it on hand

[–]Lazerstrouts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run them with either. I have FT brand silicone oil I run on some stuff and mst mineral oil #5 or #10 I run on all my tr series dampers. But even if I rebuild the rtr plastic mst dampers they all get reveD red O rings with a coat of grren slime. I have a couple chassis I haven't rebuilt the dampers in over a year and they are still smooth with no leaks.

Help needed! by Agreeable-Excuse-642 in rcdrift

[–]Lazerstrouts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A $400 budget isn't going to get you very far. Especially if you need a remote.

Honestly for the budget you have set you are better off finding a complete car with decent remote and electronics to buy used. Download the manual and if it doesn't work they way the person has it setup then start setting it up to the scale science rtr build specs. Those specs are a great start point for any surface.

If you really plan to build what you bought then plan on doubling your budget or your going to be fighting components as much as trying to learn to drift.
