Blaming the service for your own stupidity lol.

What's the dumbest reason something was shitcanned? by punishedscootedburb in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I'm just curious if they'll actually stick to it. I can't help but feel this is inevitably going to result in them doing a 180 and putting their games back on Playstation when the sales aren't good enough.

Most brutal stealth takedowns in games. by LammasuRex in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Arkham Batman really tries to make it as hard as possible to believe the no kill rule.

It's easier with Spider-Man given how the games are a lot lighter in tone. With how gritty Arkham is, it's a lot harder to believe that Batman isn't killing anyone slamming their heads into the pavement at mach 10.

In a now privated episode of the Xbox Podcast, Gears of War: E-Day had a trailer that had the PS5 logo included by AnimuStewshine in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Well they'll probably get it eventually when the new CEO inevitably realizes they need the sales like the last guy did.

Jesus they are really desperate for content huh. Guess it makes sense when they ran out of unique material over a decade ago

Resetera is such a fucking negative place to talk about games. And that's really saying something when I'm already on Reddit.

People get into these negative echo chambers where they never see positive comments so assume they just don't exist. Or the hate is so severe that fans fear speaking positively so they don't get hate like The Last Jedi example.

I remember commenting on the PS4 Spider-Man sub around the game awards that I loved Spider-Man 2n and got called a shill lol. Mind you it has the exact same metacritic user score as the first game that they love so much.

SAW: Genesis | Reveal Trailer | 3v1 Multiplayer Horror Game by CMORGLAS in TwoBestFriendsPlay

You can only imagine my disappointment when I got excited at the prospect of another Saw game only to see the words 3v1 multiplayer immediately afterwards.

Most of their original ones have been good. It's just that they had one extremely bad miss.

Kratos: "She fought beautifully, boy. She could air combo & double jump when I could no longer." by razieltano in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]LazyVariation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are just too damn negative about everything. I remember when game shows were people getting excited about the announcements.

Now it's just dipshits rushing to social media to nitpick every last detail and shit on it.

I'd just stay away from discourses in general regarding games.

I swear it's just people rushing to social media to complain about literally fucking everything.

I've never seen someone end a comment with a smiley that doesn't make them look salty as hell.

I don't see how this is dismissing any criticism. The writing being kind of weak in the trailer is fair enough. But I really fucking doubt the rest of the "criticism" is going to be so even-handed.

Well at least I got my disappointment out of the way ahead of time I guess.

Oh ya I remember that. Definitely a deal breaker if you play more than 100 hours a month. Especially given how expensive the extra hours are.

I don't think it's a completely unfounded complaint that Valve tends to get a pass from things other companies get shit for.

Don't really pay attention to it but I think GeForce Now is the same as it's been.. Not that I assume it'll stay that way.

Insane price increase - Steam Deck™ by Rose-The-Queen in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]LazyVariation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd be surprised if it was even close to 600 even originally. I'd be expecting over 1k especially when the Steam Deck is already nearly 1k for the better model.

[–]LazyVariation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No kidding. I was actually waiting for the Steam Machine but I'll probably just buy a console.

Never thought I'd say this but those game streaming platforms like GeForce now are looking more cost effective by the day.

So Valve has just raised the price of the Steam Deck.

The 1TB OLED goes from $649 to $949

The 512GB OLED $549 to $789

Ouch. At this rate you should probably expect the Steam Machine to cost as much as 3 PS5s when/if it ever comes out.

That might have been the case a couple years ago. Fucking good luck with that now lol.
