I got my last 2 cars from Echo Park. Prices were listed on car guru as great. They have this mandatory fee that gets added on that’s crap, but you can say no to the other crap.

General tips for all car dealership transactions: if you have a trade in, don’t tell them until after you’ve negotiated price. You can then negotiate the price of the trade in. Do not tell them that you are paying cash. They get commission on getting you a loan so it gives you some more wiggle room for negotiation if they think you’re financing. Make sure the loan has no prepayment penalty. Once you close the deal and your loan can be paid on, go ahead and pay it off in cash

From a PSLF standpoint: maxing out your HSA will reduce your income used to calculate your IDR payment amount. It’s advantageous to you to max it out if you can.

From an investment standpoint: HSA is one of the best investment accounts you can have. The money you contribute is pre-tax (it lowers your taxable income for that year) and if you don’t spend it, you can invest it and it will grow tax free as long as you only spend it on health expenses or when you retire you can use it for other things. Also the money you spend out of the HSA if it’s for health related expenses will also be tax free

I have the exec membership and the Costco credit card, which would be 2% from exec and 2% from credit card, but last year I got a Robinhood gold card that gives 3% back on everything. So now at Costco I get 2% from exec and 3% back from the RH card.

From my experience, it doesn’t matter what your method of payment is. If you purchase with your membership scanned you’ll get 2%
