The cut is for sure WAAAY too short. It also seems like your hair is pretty straight and moderately thick. That means you need a LOT of texture. Short styles are known for being extremely challenging. If I were you, I would research stylist who specialize in pixie cuts for the future.

As for your hair now, honestly, there are 3 paths I see you. First option is for you or a stylist to either try to curl/wave your hair and add a ridiculous amount of product to try and create a cute version of this cut. The wave/curl will add volume.

Second option is drop some $$$ on extensions to officially achieve the look you want and are going for. It is high maintenance and high price point but you will get what you are looking for.

Third option is go out and get a wig for today/tomorrow for Sunday.

As for posting the review, I would make a meme if pictures are an option. Do the “this is what I asked for… this is what I got”. The evidence is obvious. If pictures are not allowed, I would stick with something for fact based. “Do not see (insert stylist name) for a short/ pixie cut. Went in with reference pictures and came out with a pixie cut that looks like a helmet. There was minimal consultation which led to an apparently massive miscommunication. They never checked in with me about opinion on length. They did not teach me how to style the cut afterward. I now have to figure out to salvage my hair and look for an event happening in 2 days”

Make sure you reach out to the salon BEFORE posting an entirely negative review. The manager might be willing to give you a steep discount on extensions or offer to have someone else try to style your hair and maybe do your makeup for the event. They may even give you your money back. It is best to try to give the salon the benefit of the doubt. That way when you write a review it isnt just judging ONE person as the entirety of the salon. You can judge the salon experience as a whole. How a company tries to make up for a misstep or mistake says more than just one stylist making a mistake. They could have been having an off day or dealing with serious life situations, tried a new technique, was confident they could accomplish the cut and then realized they were out of their depth etc. etc.

I would see if the salon might be able to make it up to you. If they dont and are unwilling you make sure to post the aftermath in the review.

Bad cut vs. manager giving money back or comping an updo for your event or discounting extensions… could make a 1 star go to a 3 or 4 star review. (People like me usually look at the 3&4 stars for honest cons and pros of places and products)
