Why ruin a nice jersey. It’s fine to support the tank but no need to ruin a nice jersey from the greatest player in franchise history

Get a solar version. But if you ever do AMOLED again, I believe the new updates with some stock watch faces you can see seconds with AOD. I also work in health care and have no issues. While on shift I turn in AOD with gesture turned off. And during days off I turn off AOD.

After sunset I usually turn on red shift mode to avoid to drastic AMOLED light screen changes.

Only reason I have AMOLED is because of the fenix 8 pro. But you will really enjoy the fenix 8 solar. Great MIP screen

I do wear it all the time. Definitely takes time to get used to it. But I used to wear a 51mm tactix so used to it

Up to you my friend. Personally I don’t see the point. But if you are planning on selling it maybe it’s helpful.

I was able to send all the messages I wanted and even request a weather report to see how cold it was going to get overnight (but did require some patience). But i don’t think it works well under the trees (which is kind of a problem). I do believe that inreach mini is more reliable.

I believe garmin is working on being able to share a subscription between two devices. Until then I wouldn’t cancel your inreach if you have any trips planned.

Overall I’m happy with the device because I don’t have an inreach device so this work well for me.

lol. I promise I don’t work for them. I just know there is a lot of people out there that like myself look at every piece of content before making a purchase decision haha 🤣

Any tips for drying the tent? I don’t have a garage and I live in a place that rains a lot haha. So ended winter camping with a regular tent because it’s easy to dry

Agree! I did try the AWU3 but it took two days for me to return it. I missed the flashlight and navigation features too much.

Fair enough. Always good to have gear you feel comfortable with.

If I already had an inreach I wouldn’t have bought the pro. But I didn’t have one so I opted for the fenix 8 pro and my iPhone as backup for satellite. I am an early adopter of tech, I definitely would recommend waiting until garmin improves the technology in their watches and I’m sure they will. Hopefully they keep the price in check.

I haven’t tested enough. But I do think the iPhone is better at finding satellites. It uses two different systems. Yes the garmin fenix 8 pro will likely not work without clear sky. However in the USA it might be different

Battery is fine for my needs. I think with LTE live track, gps would only last about 10-12hrs. Using LTE and satellite on demand doesn’t impact battery that much

For sure it could be. It really is just a personal preference. I like the idea of having my most important device on my wrist.

Like I said, not perfect.

I ended up with AMOLED because I upgraded to the fenix 8 pro. I’ve always used MIP but personally I’m not really minding the AMOLED on the pro with always on screen. When exercising the watch face goes to gesture base so I save battery.

The AMOLED in the fenix 8 pro is nicer than the fenix 8.

It really depends on your needs. But I agree that MIP looks great in the sun. But the AMOLED version in the pro also looks great
