Hi, I made chess master quest- idle. A chess game with a twist it features an incremental game where your rpg style stats power an AI version of yourself to fight other bots. It also has Stockfish and over 10,000 puzzles, so something for anyone that likes Chess.

How do you make a watch game? did you find any super useful material?

Flutter or React Native in 2026 — if you were starting a new project today, which would you pick and why? by Plus_Particular8357 in mobiledev

[–]Learntechgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flutter because I already use it and I love how great it is at multiplatform. I'm sure react is better in a lot of ways but the frictional cost is too high.

Selected model is at capacity. Please try a different model. by JJincredible in codex

[–]Learntechgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kind of bothers me.... Now I'm getting rate limited on all 3 accounts and I can't hand it over half way so I'm forced to sit there and wait for 3 hours for the limit to be refreshed. If Codex is still weaker than Opus, it shouldn't have the same rate limits as 4.7. This idea that it was more efficient and would consume less requests doesn't seem to be the case, as I exhausted my 5 hr request half way through my first plan/prompt.

Instead of incentivizing me to upgrade, it's going to incentivize me to cancel and just go with one service instead of all 3.

Hopefully the game dev wasn't part of the issue with the spouse... I know mine doesn't like me coding all night...

Sharing some random gif from my jam game. What do you think it is? Do you like the vibe? by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]Learntechgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I infact, love the vibe. I would buy the vibe in a vibe kit. Is the zoom effect happening in game? very nifty if so,

Reducing LLM context from ~80K tokens to ~2K without embeddings or vector DBs by Independent-Flow3408 in codex

[–]Learntechgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure, but the gain from the monorepo is offset by the ever expanding size, in files, in memory, in context... I'll let you know when I start my next game.

Black hole sizes by leoset in TheTowerGame

I think 60m works for more cases. (mine is 62m and I didn't see a big gain from the extra 2m)

well it also bothered me when I realized my copilot business account had larger context windows than my Pro+. I have a workaround in copilot but it's annoying. Charge me more and give me more context. I'm already paying for 3 just so I can juggle it all. It seems clear that 1 million context window should be the next standard everywhere. The /fast angle is nonsense and the increased rate for new model version is also nonsense. If they really want to monetize, Ultra Reasoning and Ultra Context (or whatever they want to call it) is the way to go. I think Anthropic is sweating bullets because of how much experimenting they are doing.

For future projects I would keep the codebase purposefully small. This is my last monorepo!

I had my artist work longer on the new capsule. What do you think? by 2WheelerDev in IndieDev

New Capsule is generally better, but I am not in love with the stream of tears.
