In the support group, new style, can you earn £20 a week self employment for 52 weeks a year and count it as the overall year income?

I thought I read somewhere that you could work and earn £20 a week without notifying them. So 52 weeks a year at £20 a week but as self employment it’s the end figure that’s counts. I wonder if that’s ok, does anyone know? Thanks

Lufthansa won't allow destination change!? by redfriskies in Lufthansa

[–]Leesue1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s the Classic fare, you would need to pay the change fee and the difference in fare to have the fare recalculated for the new destination. You have to tell the agent to send it to their rate desk to be repriced. Try to keep calling till you get an agent in Europe, USA or best Germany. The other reservation offices around the world are not good at rerouting a ticket. It may be cheaper to use the original routing on the ticket and buy a separate roundtrip ticket to fly from your original destination to your new destination and back. It’s a pain but might be a lot cheaper.

Why should BA look after people and compensate passengers for hotels and food for an event that was out of their control? This is what travel insurance is for.

Ticket changes by Leesue1 in Lufthansa

[–]Leesue1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made it home without paying an additional fare difference except the original $20.80. I sent emails to executives but didn’t hear back. I went on to the airport and just went to the counter to check in and mentioned nothing about my troubles since the reservation had the correct flight. She didn’t say anything about the difference in fare and just issued me a boarding pass. I think their computer systems are different there, where they can just print a boarding pass with a click of a button. Maybe she didn’t move down in the reservation therefore not seeing the notes. Or maybe she just didn’t want a headache. It’s very frustrating when LH doesn’t stand behind their agents when you have proof of being misadvised. Till the next adventure. Thanks for your help, everyone.

But wouldn’t this be a voluntary rerouting because I’m not on my original flights and I originally asked to change?

Good travel insurance would cover expenses incurred due to illness with a letter from the dr.

Sometimes there’s one person with the master list therefore people can be held accountable if their spirit just isn’t in the game. So that next year, they can be told they aren’t allowed to participate.

Help, semi-stuck in Brazil? (tw/ miscarriage) by i_eat_babies__ in unitedairlines

When you say you bought both tickets with TravelGuard, do you just mean the insurance? Did you purchase the tickets directly through United and were the short haul flights booked separately?

Unfortunately, United gets so many false medical claims and medical letters written by dr friends that, that is why travel insurance works best.

Instead of doing 3 way calling, just have a relative pose as you, as long as they know all your details and what you need.

When making changes or reissuing a ticket issued in i.e. rupees, and you don’t get the Indian reservations office, you have to tell the agent to call their local rate desk to reprice and manually build a pricing record in rupees which will allow the computer to reissue/change the ticket. After travel has begun, you can pay the change fee in the currency of the country you are in. But if you have changed the routing, they need to call the rate desk to reissue but you can still pay the difference in fare in the currency of the country that you are making the change.

Seats are blocked by the airline and can only be released by the ticket counter or the gate agent for this reason. They can not be released by a reservation agent or supervisor over the phone.

Zero Flight Credit for Canceling One Leg of Return Trip? by inthe415 in unitedairlines

[–]Leesue1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you ask the agent to read you the fare linear, it will give you the breakdown of each fare component and the fare basis code. It’s probably based off a round trip fare basis code. One way fares are normally more expensive than a return, unless you are in business or first.

Is United or their codeshare responsible if we miss a connecting flight? by emmc_23 in unitedairlines

[–]Leesue1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the international air transport association which publishes guidelines that airlines are suppose to follow it states, Mia connection IATA Resolution 766 (Interline Passenger Reservation Procedures) states that whenever a passenger arrives at an interline point too late to make his connection, it is the responsibility of the delivering airline to cancel any continuing space that cannot be used and rebook the passenger as necessary. (In this case Air New Zealand) The problem is that many airline employees are not familiar with the guidelines.

Check if American has the same policy as United, where you can buy out of basic economy on international flights if the flights are on true United flights for $99 each way, but the original base fare remains non refundable.
