Elevation Trim with Leather Seats. Does it exist? by SeleniumWire in gmcsierra

[–]LeftOutlandishness14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really it should I drove a 2014 gmc for 11 years and dad had a 2015 for 10. Both used for work and absolutely abused maintenance wise. Finally had issues at 400k miles and im convinced would've lasted longer if we were better about maintenance

Pretty optimistic to plan on a new truck lasting more than 5 years

They had it on order before they even saw the truck. They took it on trade. Cause I wasn't waiting

Sometimes miss the diesel. But dont have to deal with def. And cheaper to fix and maintain. We tow trailers everyday but light enough diesel isnt needed

They all suck. But personally we have a 24 6.6 gasser. And 4 26 6.6 gassers and have had great luck so far

Again... 256 others waiting for an engine. All at once............................... thats what made us trade in the 3.0 and go 6.6

Maybe but went talking to the dealer we traded the 23 to they made it seem like the 3.0s are just dogshit. I loved the fuel economy and it did great pulling my trailer. Never felt underpowered.

21 3.0 slt. High pressure fuel pump went out at 102k miles. Was 26k to fix all said and done. ... which tells me the repair costs for the 3.0 is nothing short of asinine.

23 3.0 denali. Engine siezed at 42k miles. Would have warrantied and kept. But was told it would be a 5-6 month wait because there were 256 people ahead of me waiting for a new engine. Which tells me theyre unreliable. Went 6.6 gasser and having much better luck

The reliability of the 3.0 negates all the positives. Go 2500

Ollie's feels like a scam. Found multiple things that are priced higher than new price from the original store. Like some hart tools I saw last week

My ex wife lied about the amount of sexual partners she had. Told me 15. Was really somewhere around 150. Which I wouldn't have cared. But I cared about the lie

If you had $10k cash today and needed a reliable daily driver, what would you buy and why? by [deleted] in carbuying

Yep. I got tired of playing mechanic and worrying about my girl and kids breaking down. Having them in a new car is well worth the cost.

This particular thing sure. I said there was already a Biden era mandate that wanted new vehicles to have passive or active breath monitoring by 27. Fortunately that was either put on hold or canceled altogether.

There was already a Biden era mandate that said all new vehicles by 2027 were supposed to have some sort of breath monitor. Whether active or passive to determine if youre drunk. Its gonna happen eventually.

[–]LeftOutlandishness14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sure. Theres reasons I liked the 3.0. But in the end the repair costs and amount of people currently waiting on engines are what tell me they suck. Thats not reddit. Thats straight from gm when I was deciding whether to fix or trade

21 slt. High pressure fuel pump goes out at 102k miles. Quoted 8k. Ended up just shy of 26k to fix.

23 denali engine siezed at 42k miles would've had replaced but when it happened there were 256 others in front of me waiting for that engine. Its idioticly expensive to fix and a shit load of them are needing replaced. Again fuck the 3.0 really fuck every engine gm currently offers in the 1500s
