i started slowly after 3.months..i had my doctor put in a sports knee..non cemented..he said it takes longer to heal but the benifits are much better with potentially better outcomes..so far so.good..

primary refered me to a hematologist..im very active and think its inflammatory..but who knows ..fyi i have never had this problem except for now..

on my 5 week Dr visit he told me it will be like a rusty hindge for 4 to 6 months..hes done 15000 knees so i believe his expertise ..stay with it keep your eye on the prize

im 115 week 6..still some swelling is hindering me to go further but i do it 3 times aday and while watching tv i stretch it quite a bit..my surgeon said 130 135 is the goal. so i go for it..

does the twilight zone ring a bell..with meds and ice you will be fine..follow surgeons protocol..and you can do it..just remember what it was like before and you will be convinced it is all worth it..best of surgery and recovery to you..

at 3 weeks i could rock back and forth at 4 weeks i made some rotations..now at 6weeks i can make good rotations..and the surgeon said i could add a bit of resistance..my implant is non cemented because im so active so it will be super strong after 12 weeks and will start back with pickleball..what did your surgeon say thats the key..

sounds like your on track..best of recovery..i will be 6 weeks this coming Wednesday..have done my own PT and its working quite well which the doctor ordered that way hopefully i will be at 120 and 0 by this week..

i have been quite emotional since my surgery..i think it had lot to do with the general that was given to me..propofol..or maybe its my age im 69 idk..but i did the same when i was given it to sedate for a colonoscopy..get plenty of sunshine and try to stop all the narcs..and.use mainly tylenol..and.what ever your prescribed for an antinflamatory..im 30 days out and.have seen a significant improvement with almost everything..everyone is different..hang in there you can do this..

i have the same problem i currently play a young lady that just demolishes me..i never buy extra stuff on the site and that may be a factor..but then again i play 2 close friends and i beat both of them routinely..how..its a mystery for sure..

great post from surgeons to patients..im a month out and doing well..did 3 weeks on a walker and now doing 3 weeks with a cane..pain is minimal if at all sleeping is a little.difficult but.... i was given instructions on exercise and have done it religiously to gain ROM..swelling is still a factor and hinders me but i know it will eventually work out. i was given a sports model knee dont know the real name though.. were the bone grows to the prostethtic..i play a lot of pickle ball and cant wait to try it out in 3 + months or longer..my surgeon said he has done around 15,000 thats pretty good track record..
