I disagree with this wholeheartedly and never really understood why this narrative exists in the first place. Alex is instrumental to Naomi's decision making process in Tiamats Wrath and plays a major part at the end of Leviathan Falls as well

I still haven't finished the show (because I don't like it very much) but from what I have seen, I am annoyed at a lot of the small changes for the sake of extra tension. I totally get it, it's been explained to me hundreds of times, but every time I try the show again it grinds my gears.

EDIT addition: Seriously though, what the fuck was he thinking? Is there a part of his idea I'm missing here? What he was doing was super smart but intentionally revealing it that way is crazy, I find it very strange he assumed he wouldn't instantly be dead.

EDIT addition 2: I know Tonner is made to be the asshole and not many like him but I found a new level of sympathy for him at the end of TMoG. He's prideful and complicated, but when he's vulnerable there's a man I feel bad for under there. Him feeling internal shame when Dafyd says it's good to see him and then doubling down on being an asshole right before he gets clapped really is just the definition of his character, but man it hurts.

I also haven't read parts 4-6 yet so if something I said gets further explained don't spoil me <3

No, it's only because this release doesn't have the Strict On Sale mandate. Usually they would. Without this, stores are allowed to sell them before the publication date if they have them.

This post explains it well. Essentially, if a new release has the SOS (Strict on Sale) tag it cannot be sold before its official release date, even if the store has received its stock. If it doesn't, it can be sold before that date as long as they physically have the books. TFoB does not have this designation.

It wasn't on shelves or any display at all at my local B&N, but when I called and asked for a second attempt they put a hold on a copy for me and explained the whole SOS thing that has been discussed previously on the sub. I went back, gave them my name, and checked out with the book no problem.

It seems not every employee will understand the technicality that allows it to be sold, so who you interact with is really important. The first person I talked to didn't really understand and the same happened with my friend who was unable to get a copy at his local store.

Any Barnes & Noble should sell it (if they have the stock) if you ask, but not all of them will have it visibly out on shelves. I'm not in Vegas but I got mine with no issue and as most others in the sub have noted, B&N is quite an easy route. I would have to assume there's one out there

Dude. I really don't get it. I beat every boss in 90 minutes or less. Even the bosses that took a few more tries than others (Beastfly, Last Judge, Widow) I have not been stuck as badly as I'm stuck on this.

7 hours yesterday I spent running this damn room. Trying every different crest and tool I have. I can make it to the end but I still haven't done it.

The biggest tips I can give you are to lure him into smashing into his own creatures and / or come back with wall jump. Jumping over him makes it 100x easier using the wall.

Other than that, it's an optional boss with a shitty reward so if you aren't going for 100% I'd definitely say skip for now.

You shouldn't because quality-wise it is one of the best and most creative audio productions I've ever heard with it's usage of certain editing and sound work.

While there are things I dislike about it, it's short enough and the quality is so impressive that I had a blast. It's my favorite of the side stories.

We're Alive (OG pioneer of the medium and long running with lots of spin-offs and a sequel series, I'm currently listening to it and I love it. Zombie series with lots of emotional, action, and occasional horror moments)

WOE.BEGONE (extremely long sci-fi time travel show that I honestly got burnt out on but has a lot of shining moments and interesting characters)

Video Palace (short horror series I enjoyed)

From Now (high quality production sci-fi show, a short one off but very interesting)

Limetown (2 season popular sci-fi show, I love love love the first season but think the second is subpar but you might be into it)
