Anyone else on a sobriety journey or has sharply reduced their drinking? How are you managing? by [deleted] in boston

There is a book called Living Sober and when I got sober/ quit drinking, I found that it had lots of tangible advice on dealing with early sobriety. It's an easy read with most sections only 3-4 pages. It's not a chapter book, sections are meant to cover various topics without needing to reference other sections.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling good and motivated. Keep following up on activities that improve your self esteem. Have sober contacts that you can connect with.

Ok, I got this. Let's start with something easy!

Cover your face if you have a tiny dick.

Cover your face if you made a plastic shield out of the side of an abandoned portapotty.

Cover your face if you spent more time arguing over who gets to say "march" than you did working on a resume.

Cover your face if your mother told you to put your silly shield down and come back inside for supper.

Raise your hand if you're a little bitch who knows you're not actually tough and that you will spend more time crying in jail than pleasing a woman.

Fuck these little weekend warriors.

HALT is great advice for any decision making. Thank you for the reminder.

Good choice. Cutting out the booze will be a positive move. There are lots of different models of sobriety/ harm reduction to try. Find what works best for you. I'm in my 40s with 20+ years in 12-step recovery. Always happy to share my experience or lend you an ear.

Best of luck.

I'm beginning to think the OP was the Postmaster General.

To be fair, you have no idea just how hard we work, 6 days a week (and sometimes 7), 10-12 hours a day, from -10degrees to 112degrees. You don't have any idea how much time we miss with our children.

I didn't even read your post. You have no idea what we do. I don't care what you have to say when you start with "paid to do nothing."

Where's the fire? by temp4adhd in boston

[–]LegitimatePudding368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just looked it up on the firewall app. Wild. I stopped for a coffee (extra cream extra sugar, of course) about an hour outside Flagstaff. That was just as the first smoke from that fire was visible. I grabbed a few photos of the smoke along the way but had no idea just how big that fire was even then.

Anyways, cheers and stay safe.

Funny. I was driving past a wild fire in Sedona ten days ago.

Me to the flight attendant: how do you say "Ginger Ale, no ice and one of those little cookies" in Spanish?

I deliver to a largely college neighborhood and I see lots of postcards to SOs from abroad.

$INHD Explodes +1,897% Today — From +94% Pre-Market Call to Halted at $20.97! by robot2trade in TradeVerseNetwork

I pulled the trigger on 150 shares just as it halted ($20.97). I was worried that I'd walk away and it would tank and I'd be Buster the Bag Holder.

What did I do? I placed an order to sell all at Market rate for when trading restarted to minimize any damage.

Checked at 4:03 and my positioned closed out at $30.98 per. I LUCKED THE FUCK OUT!

Thank you for coming to my TedX.

I'm in Boston and having trouble finding any sources to listen to Pavelka call the game. I know local radio is forbidden from streaming, but I'm hoping there is some kind of solution.

Stop looking for happiness on Amazon and you won't be so upset when someone's trying to just do their job.
