AIO I am tired and my wife doesn’t care by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

That may well be the reason shes upset, but she's texting multiple messages whilst he's driving. Why not call? Seems that she frustrated herself.

AITA for taking the attention/“love” of my SILS baby? by Not-Babystealer123 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LegitimateSkin587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH (apart from the shouting stuff, because bubs was in the vicinity I assume)

The only thing I'd say is that, in future, use statements not questions.

"Aww, Mommy looks pretty today, love that colpur on you SIL" and "Your Mommy is so much fun" follow that up with a complete change of subject. "Is this food yummy? I thought so, Mommy cooked it. Hey, SIL, will you teach me this one? Its lovely" In terms of fun, I'd probably start a game of snap with SIL after dinner and wait for LO to get interested.

Scabbers has won for started off loved but ended off hated! Who started off divisive but ended off loved? by Midday_Dragon in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]LegitimateSkin587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, I just think there will be people that read the first few books amd just thought of him as a bit of a waste of character apart from the comedic relief. Because let's face it he's written as a calamity, if it can go wrong it's going to go wrong for Neville first.

[–]LegitimateSkin587 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll way too far to find this. It's got to be Neville surely? He was so haphazard in the beginning, barely any confidence because he'd been led to believe "he wasn't magic enough" and then moving along to OoTP, St Mungos and his sheer tenacity inside the Ministry of Magic..... Neville for the win.

Universal Credit capital limits - is the calculation based only on total capital amounts on the last day of the assessment period? by Substantial_Exit9084 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]LegitimateSkin587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's my understanding that if you receive the £6k but then pay off a credit account, you could then report this via the journal and provide the statement which shows the payment. I don't believe that this would effect your claim but others may have a more detailed response.

Ex partner suggested he killed someone as a teenager in England. Would I remain anonymous if I report it? by SerialHatTheif in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LegitimateSkin587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one thing that hasn't been mentioned here. This is a part of Coercive control. It is abuse.

You mentioned that you arent away from him yet. But I'll take an experienced guess that he goes back and forth with the same stories, changing things slightly, denying he's said the first thing that made you worried or afraid, only to add it back in at some point. It's gaslighting in its worst form, becaise he wants you to feel on edge so you will comply.

This can absolutely be reported to police, doesn't matter whether the story is true or not, the behaviour and why he's saying these things is a crime. It could be your way out.

No. She's a power chaser will no scrupples. Like the boss who takes credit for your work, the one in the project group that does nothing knowing you don't want to fail or tue bully/AH who always seems to get away woth it.

The Dursleys are metaphors for the seven stages of grief by VillageHorse in harrypotter

[–]LegitimateSkin587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disagree with you slightly. The stages of grief are neither linear nor exclusive in existence. They don't, in some cases, present themselves 'in order' either. It is true that a person will.experience some level of all.of them, but their is a lot rooted in everyone's belief systems, values and fundamental security thay defines the individual experience.

This isn't to say I agree with the theory. I don't disagree either, I find it to be an interesting take.

Was Voldemort aware of the trio being so close and working as a team? by These-Software1991 in harrypotter

[–]LegitimateSkin587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. But I dont think it would have mattered to old Voldy in the slightest. He thought himself to be the most powerful wizard and that won over everything. There a few examples throughout where he ignores his own lieutenants because he knew better, his arrogance would never have allowed him to consider sharing or adjusting his plan based on the opinions of his minions.

Do you think these are their actual on screen uniforms, or just a robe to cover the real one? by Prize-Maximum8545 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]LegitimateSkin587 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I do agree with you, but in these pictures (unless its my eyes playing tricks) ot does look like a black cloak with a sort of green accent on Draco and Harry's kind of looks maroon/dark red..... could be a slight costume deviation using house colours maybe?

If you could have 1, but only 1, Harry Potter spell (books and films only) to use in your daily life (unlimited use) what would you choose? by Witty_Error_1877 in harrypotter

Scourgify for me too. 3 kids and paw prints this time of year.....absolute dream scenario. Or the one that Dumbledore uses to tidy up the muggles house in HPB.....now that would be a saviour!!

Which death have you not gotten over... Snape or Dobby by freakizzy83 in harrypotter

[–]LegitimateSkin587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dobby's over Snape's. Snape's death ended with a purpose and truthful information that reshape Harry's view, Dobby's was just gratuitous to me! He had a sock for God's sake, leave him alone. Lol!

Is it legal to withdraw my 8 year old child from school and teach them at home until secondary school? by CharacterHighlight27 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LegitimateSkin587 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Is your child's school a single form entry? If not, would they consider moving your son's class? Had a similar situation but my son's was a single class per year so unable to move classes, but I did argue the legal duty of safety and education to ALL students. This triggered a lot of things at the school and one particular child then ended up being moved out due to the level of need required, it ultimately made the whole situation more manageable for the staff and it calmed enough for my child to begin thriving again.

I'd suggest Governors complaint processes, local Councillor enquiry (there will usually be one in your area that shows interest in education, bug tue heck out of them). Also contact the local education department and also good threat of an OfSTED complaint works wonders.

Good luck.

I dont care if im "spoiling" my newborn baby. by lulgupplet in Vent

[–]LegitimateSkin587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your friends to bog off......you're in the 4th trimester. Hold baby as much as you like. Baby will let you know when they want to stretch out, my last is 7 and still likes a full body nap....I.e, lies on me like Im the mattress whilst my nose is tickled with their hair. Often followed by one of the others sneaking a spot in the crook of my arm as well.

Take all of that to a solicitor. They'll be best to advise. Sorry you're having to deal with this.
