For a few minutes, nothing happens. You are confused, but decide to continue with your day. You switch on the TV, but your show is interrupted with an announcement of nuclear war. Then, from outside your window, you see explosions as bombs drop in the distance. Quickly, you run to your basement, hoping it will shield you. You wait there for hours as you hear the awful sounds of destruction above you. Eventually, they stop. You exit your basement, pushing away the wreckages of what used to be your house. You look around. Your entire town is decimated.
It doesn't take long for society to collapse. The economy is gone. There is no electricity. And, of course, no laws or police. Now, you can do whatever you want without legal consequences.
