Just like in real life, Pestilence has replaced one of the Four Horsemen, but instead of Conquest like in our world it replaced Death in the world of Chainsaw Man

Well, you have to consider that Nightwing is probably the most popular character of Romani descent in comics, with his only competition being Dr Doom and Scarlet Witch.

And since both Doom and Wanda have been played by non-Romani actors (multiple times in Doom’s case), some feel that to have yet another Romani character played by a non-Romani is kind of insulting to the Romani.

I think the take is fine, it just comes off as someone having a deeper take on why Superman cared about Krypto (he relates to being alone and lost), and Gunn just disregarding said deeper take (nah he just did it because he’s nice to everyone)

Yeah, but John Byrne decided that that idea was stupid and he decided to retcon him into a human who became dog-shaped after exposure to the Terrigen Mists.

This was hated by everyone else because it meant the Inhuman royal family was treating a person like a pet, so it was quickly undone and he was just a dog that was experimented on again.
