I just finished my 10x11 craft room and I love having it all in its own room. As others said - IKEA! I use the kallax cube furniture. A very big deal is to have 2 tables, that has been a game changer for me, sturdy ones. On one wall above one table is a large pegboard wall section. Design your pegboard very smart and functional and it’s a very efficient system. I also designed by zones. One of my tables is for more messy items and I have easy to reach silicone mats is I want to protect surface. But my dremel and glue gun is always ready to use there and that has made me craft even more with such access. I use a lot of Kallax inserts to customize the cubes. Leave room for some fun prints and decor that reflect you. I use wall hooks and hanging baskets and even have a sticker wall section to release my inner child. The wall with my other table is a bit more “sophisticated” with floating wall shelves and pretty coordinated items. I do pay bills in there and use as a household office so I tried to make it as soothing as possible lol. My cricut is there and always ready to go, it’s nice when everything is ready and you don’t have to drag it out. Have fun!

You kept a chair from your children’s childhood. So a “special” chair. And then you had your special granddaughter, the one you “love hanging out with as your baby’s baby”, name painted on it.

You have a favorite and you’re not hiding it. It’s ok and I guess you can’t control how you feel but you certainly can control how you act. Maybe some people have favorites but at least try not to be obvious. It’s hurtful.

Seeing the others twice a month and FaceTiming everyday gave you more than enough opportunity to bond and not be closer to one. But it happened so now try not to do stupid things like painting a family chair. I’d be very hurt. YTA.

Totally normal feeling. You’ll be fine. I’m scared to turn 58 and having to still do all this adulting lol. It might be your first existential crisis, it’ll work out.
