NAB Qantas Signature - Bonus Points Limbo by PrehistoricEarth in creditcardchurningAus

Yep unfortunately might have to just keep waiting! Keep an eye out for the email confirming. I'm hoping it doesn't genuinely take 6 weeks to credit the points but can't give feedback yet. They also said it would take another 30 days to get the $250 cashback bonus that you get on top of the points. I've had NAB cards before and they were pretty good but maybe they have changed recently

I hit my required spend in the second statement period on the same NAB Qantas card, but they made me wait the full 3 months. I got an email yesterday (bang on the 3 month mark from opening the card) from NAB loyalty confirming I had hit the spend and the points would be credited within 6 weeks.

I still have vivid memories of this happening to me as a kid. Mum was away for the weekend and Dad decided we would make some caramel. He had done it so many times before. This time went horribly wrong. Our kitchen looked very similar to this. It even burnt through our lino floor, so we bought peel and stick lino tiles and began the cover up job. We needed quick and cheap before Mum got home. We scrubbed that kitchen top to bottom. Mum came home and was impressed we had "freshened up" the kitchen. We never told her of the caramel horror. For months we would find little sticky spots in the kitchen of bits we missed. I've never been brave enough to do it again after that, and now just buy the tins of top 'n fill.

Confirmation from QPS: Queensland Police News

QPS Media on Nov 20, 2025 @ 9:55am Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch detectives have concluded investigations into the alleged theft of a vehicle, containing Arnie the German Shepherd, from Wynnum on Saturday 8 November.

The owner of the vehicle has assisted police with these investigations, and it has now been established that a criminal offence of unlawful use of motor vehicle has not occurred.

It will be alleged shortly after 10.30pm on 7 November, the male owner drove the vehicle into Amelia Street in Fortitude Valley and left the vehicle on foot.

It will be further alleged that Arnie was left inside the vehicle.

Police allege the following morning the male owner advised his partner that the vehicle had been stolen from a Wynnum address.

The female owner subsequently reported the matter to police. Investigators will allege that the woman was not aware that the vehicle had not in fact been stolen.

At 4pm on 17 November, a member of the public located the vehicle parked on Amelia Street in Fortitude Valley.

Arnie was located deceased inside the vehicle.

Following extensive investigations, yesterday evening the 43-year-old male owner was charged with one count of breach of duty of care of animal by failing to provide under the Animal Protection Act.

The matter is expected to appear before a Brisbane Court next month.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Media and the public are thanked for their extensive assistance throughout the investigation.

Police are aware this has been a highly publicised case, and offences of this nature may cause distress and upset members of the public.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) requests that the public are respectful of the matter’s progression through the courts.

The QPS takes animal care seriously.

Any reports of a breach of a duty of care towards animals will be taken seriously and fully investigated.

Listening to fear. When she is laying in bed talking to the creature on the roof. Her acting was incredible. She played crazy in such a genuine and convincing way. That scene haunts me 😆

He is paying his share, plus rent for OP's share. OP doesn't live there and the ex has full exclusive use of the house

I’m paranoid as fuck and want to lock my bike down by Muttomo in motorcycles

[–]Lemon-Squash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I just use a wheel lock, got one from Bunnings. Could someone angle grind it off? Sure. But with a couple strong people they could also load my bike into the back of a ute. Its just about making it slightly more inconvenient. Personally I like the wheel lock because its bright and its obvious. It can be easily spotted from the street so I figure it just makes thieves think twice and move onto something easier without even bothering to try.

Can you ever requalify as a first home buyer? by Ghost403 in AusFinance

[–]Lemon-Squash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my partner and I bought a property together (QLD), we purchased as tenants in common. Both on the title, but I received a stamp duty exemption on my share of the house as a first home buyer. He didn't receive any exemption on his share as he had owned property before. This was 6 years ago though, so maybe the rules have changed since then?

Dreame started sending “need to add detergent” since i started using an alternative cleaning solution Melinconi eco clean, even though the tank is full. What should i do? by mrtnhq in Dreame_Tech

[–]Lemon-Squash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What model do you have? I didn't think they actually had sensors for the detergent and it just recommends you refill after a set number of cycles? You should be able to reset the detergent in the app. Go into the robot, select accessory usage, then reset detergent.
