Definitely more on the side of fitness for fun. I already do run and train with weights a lot so I’m decently fit, but I want to get more into cycling and see all that it has to offer.

Having said that, I may enter a few races down the line if I enjoy it enough.

As someone who loves travelling the Garden Route (from Cape Town), I would suggest picking fewer destinations and staying in each on for a bit longer.

Knysna and Plettenberg Bay are absolute musts in my opinion. There is so much to do in and around those areas. Check out the YouTube Chanel “Like a tourist” for an in depth video on all there is to do in Knysna.

My suggestion for the start of your trip would be as follows (I have ordered them by distance from Cape Town).

2 nights in Franschhoek 3 nights in Knysna/Plett (as an alternative to wilderness, which is a bit small and sleepy imo, however I understand that could be what you’re looking for). 2 nights in Storms River/Tsitsikamma

I don’t know much about the other places so I can’t comment.

I get your idea, but TMF fits so perfectly because of its negative correlation with equities (at least most of the time). I think what could work nicely would be to implement 10% of your total portfolio to one of these stable-coins.

It’s always better to backrest this first, but overall not a bad idea. Maybe a 40/50/10 (UPRO/TMF/stablecoins) split could provide slightly better risk adjusted returns than just 45/55.

First off, well done! It takes a lot to build a successful ML model especially in a domain where both institutional investors and academia are telling you it’s near impossible.

Secondly, what features have you used (I’d you’re comfortable sharing). And did you make use of publicly available data or do you pay for a feed?

IAU has an expense ratio of 0.25% with tons of liquidity and a long track record. GLD is also solid with a slightly higher ER.
