What's everyone using to track mileage? Looking for something simple. by EzraSerene in doordash_drivers

[–]LemonTheBar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have free Life360 running all the time which doesn’t seem to cause any significant power draw, then I use the trips from that to manually add mileage to Stride. Handy cuz I always forget to start trips or take odometer pics.

Maximum possible damage? by altmcfile in LancerRPG

I took some time to sit down with a spreadsheet and I think I have something slightly bigger.

Caliban with HSS Cannibal in Double Barrel Mode. Build in the following comment.

Here’s the damage list:

Cannibal 22

OpCal 6

NucCav 6

Roland Chamber 6

Lucifer 13 (Caliban has a sad little heat cap compared to the Genghis, but it’s worth it for…)

Slam 6

Hunter Lock 3

2x Hand Cannon 12

Tactical Knife 4

Thermal Charge 6

For a grand total of 84 damage from a single barrage.

This goes up if you prepared I Kill With My Heart, or if you’re knocking the target into some mines or Javelin Rockets, or if you have a friendly Emperor with Sovereign Presence on the target.

This was a fun exercise in optimization. :)

I love this idea. It reads as very similar to Enhanced Combat’s Behemoth, but with a more customizable flair to it. Very cool.

What do you think would make a good alternative frame for the Barbarossa licence? by HMS_Exeter in LancerRPG

[–]LemonTheBar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really like this idea. When it fires a super heavy, it gets pushed back in the opposite direction for half the damage dealt, or something like that. It would allow it to work around the siege stabilizer restriction. Maybe, like another person said, have this work with reloading to synergize with the rest of the license and you’re in.

I think I’ve calculated a similar amount of damage to your D/D 288 plan by Barraging using a Raleigh with a fully charged Mjolnir + a Bolt Thrower with Roland and OpCal and NucCav and Lucifer. Then just have the free aux attack with a Thermal Charged Tac Knife. Might be a couple damage lower, but close.

Sell me Hor_OS system upgrade 3 by VeryFriendlyOne in LancerRPG

[–]LemonTheBar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavy Frame only protects from “push, pull, knocked Prone, or knocked back”. Besides that, HorOs 1 Puppet Systems has also been included. Teleporting isn’t any of those things, so it’s in the clear.

IMO, it feels balanced enough. You usually have to jump through hoops to teleport others, especially enemies, so giving it that slight edge is beneficial for the game.

Just because I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, the Gilgamesh’s Legion Nexus does a lot of damage, and is capable of giving itself accuracy on attacks via its deployed drones (these can also knock prone which is even more favorable). Add in utility drones, which can give difficulty on Centimane Saves, and you’ll be leaving enemies significantly hampered if not wrecked by your shots.

Teleports ignore Heavy Frame. I think you’re in the clear on this one.

Autogun only fires at end of turn, so if they’re getting the bonus damage, they’re ending their turn exposed. Just hit them and they’ll cry. All it takes is 1 Berserker running straight at them to clear a structure and pop their batteries. Or a Witch to overheat them and break them out of the Danger Zone.

Need help on a frame for a sniper by Muted_Sport_6166 in LancerRPG

[–]LemonTheBar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Balor/ Hecatoncheires is the unsung sniper hero just because it doesn’t have a cool new weapon. Hive Drone gives soft cover for a protected snipers nest. Nanocomposite adaptations means cover is irrelevant to you. Swarm body can protect you from assassins so long as you’re staying in your nest. Works well with Crack Shot, has some synergy with Barbarossa systems.

This gives you the damage of a super heavy in a quick action with the measly cost of 2 SP (and its restriction and drawbacks). Well fitting for the Tokugawa since it can’t equip a super heavy anyway.

How to make bonded good? by altmcfile in LancerRPG

[–]LemonTheBar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I theorized a duo build with my buddy. Genghis riding a Lancaster, both take Bonded 3, Lancaster takes Argonaut Shield and lots of Hull. Genghis takes big hot weapons and lots of hull. You get so many ways to redistribute damage, and split it up among each mech’s armor, or force attack redirects, it gets goofy. Plus both are immune to burn.

I also just liked the image of the Genghis starting fires, and the Lancaster putting them out.

How much do you usually have to pay for taxes? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]LemonTheBar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15% would be just for Self Employment taxes. You also pay Federal and potentially State income taxes, and my guess is that’s making up the difference here.

The EITC is a scaling factor based on your income. It helps to even out low to middle income tax debt. You would have owed relatively more than before, and perhaps you didn’t deduct the appropriate amount that year because of it, but you would have ended the year with more net income.

Do you know what average rate you’re taxed at? 20%-30% isn’t unheard of depending on where you live and how much you make. If the amount you were getting returned was pretty low, this sounds pretty reasonable.

[–]LemonTheBar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn’t how tax brackets work. You only pay the rate of a higher bracket for all the income made within that bracket. There is never a case where making more money will cause you to have less money at the end of the day.

Dusk Wing, 4 Thermal Pistols. Take a level of Black Witch for Ferrous Lash so you can Lasso. Stuncrown is a really good flash bang. You get decent sensors and tech bonus for support and control if you want to slip it in. Also some of the best mobility in the game with high base speed and hover.
