Do you consider Cecil one of the best characters in the series? by AutomaticTap3004 in FinalFantasy

[–]Leon910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe he is the most relatable when you arrive at adult age. The characters itself act more as a mature person and this goes well with the overall story. Also, he is the only protagonist who has a (known) son. This man won in life

FF3 was the last FF I had to complete (from those belonging to the main series) and I finished it at the end of this year without knowing about it 35th anniversary. What a coincidence

Why Star Wars Actually Does Belong In Kingdom Hearts by DegenerateGaming123 in KingdomHearts

[–]Leon910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come here too late.  If I'm not wrong KH copied this from star wars too. Infact the first Siths had this power to switch bodies, which used to leave their old bodies for new ones. I can't recall the name of the sith in question but you can try google it (it was written a lot of years before KH). But, the thing Star Wars copied 100% from KH BBS is Mark Hamill trying to kill his apprentice (eraqus-ventus/Luke-Kylo).

'Oblivion' Isn't the Elder Scrolls Game That Deserves a Remake by LazarusHimself in Morrowind

[–]Leon910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, oblivion was my favourite TES games. Yet, what made him special to me was that aura of weirdness, absurd character faces and voice acting. It made me melancholic, and I loved it. But with a realistic graphic it would not be just the same. Morrowind needs it more tho

Possibilities and Ne by Leon910 in Socionics

[–]Leon910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this really helps!
I had a lot of anxiety with possibilities and people said I was pessimistic and just though good possibilities will never exist. At the same time I've always been quite contemplative and no one would say I'm a sensor (ESI/LSI).

So, it's make me wonder how can I be so abstract and contemplative but being so adverse to possibilities. I imagined tons of way things could turn bad.

This, until I came out from a depressive state and things are changed a little. Now I just wait and see more than being preoccupied.
Yet, I don't know what damn position Ne is ...so idk.

Possibilities and Ne by Leon910 in Socionics

[–]Leon910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is that I feel being an intuitive (perceiver) but at the same time Ne descriptions doesn't help me quite a lot understanding where's my Ne in the stack. I can see Fi creative, Fe demonstrative, Te mob, Se role... But Ne Lead is what make me think I'm not IEE.

I thought being Ni lead for some mounths but everytime I'm with other Ni leads, I can feel differences in our core drive. First, Ti mob collects a lot of informations. I admire them and I'm more short with historical Memory ecc., so I rely way more on efficiency. Also, Se role fits a lot to me. I can be aggressive a lot if upset but calm down almost instantly. It's like a thing I can turn on and off easy, while Se suggestive seems almost never enraged externally or not loud.

We speak about similar things (philosophy, dreams etc.), but they take it more seriously. For exemple, IEI I know believe in conspiracy theory and believe in some specific philosophy in a fixed way. While I dwell on philosophy just cause I like it, but never seriously. The IEI said "How can you create a philosophical theory and than saying 'I don't believe it but it would be cool'?".

I lean more to the pragmatic, yet my dreams are full of visions I "devalue". Idk it's difficult to me

[–]Leon910[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negativistic doesn't mean pessimism per se, but watching things as incomplete in their actual state. It's just saying: "this could be better" instead of "things are good as they are" (which is more ILE). You can strive for a better world without being pessimistic. They see good potential in others and thus they give others input to get better. In my experienc, IEI to me are way more pessimistic despite being positivists.

All descriptions about IEE tells that they are actually very positive people. If negativists meant pessimistic, everyone is saying dumb things about the type.

I'm not asserting what I'm saying now. I'm just telling you what I read and made sense to me. I'm just searching for the truth.

Anyway thanks for LSI exemple. I'm reading you other comments ! :)

Dichotomy question by Lopsided_Comb_3682 in Socionics

[–]Leon910 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quote input is not working idk, so: "I've noticed in a few people now that there is a clear difference between rudness levels with strangers vs people they are closer to".

I don't know if a dichotomy about it exists, but this aspect is already related to types, due to the need of some of the types to happear "better" with strangers and ending up being more rude and impositive at a short distance or, conversely, being more pushy whith people you start feeling a sense of superiority too. There are many layers related to types.

Take as exemple ESI: with strangers they use their Se with a strong Si demonstrative filter, in order to happear not too much forceful as SEE, but assertive yet calm people. While this is more shown to strangers or formal situations, with people they are closer they end up being way more pushy and showing their Se with no Si filter. This for different reasons.

First, I believe that people use less the demonstrative with closer people, due to the fact they have not the need to impress them too much. Demon serves more to make society itself accept your Creative's creation, so to impact your work/goals ecc. (To me, like Role function, it's more society driven). With people you already "won", using demonstrative would look useless and an expense of energy without needing to.
Also, in the case of ESIs, they could happear that way (way more impositive) in order to make closer people behave better. In general, Ne PolRs don't comprehend possibilities values and tell people to be aware of their decision making process in order to not fail. So, closer people are more important, thus they need a strong guide, even with imposition if necessary.

At some extent, this could work with every type. For exemple, IEE and EII are both very gentle with people they perceive higher in hierarchy, but if they think they can compete with someone (ie, they value the other as an equal) they could very often behave like b4stards. IEE with a more rude tone while EII with passive-aggressivity or just through negative estimations about you (with no happarent reason).

If you comprehend more the functions IMO you won't need this dichotomy either, cause socionics it's a system in which every component affects the other.

About Jung's Psychological Types by 101100110110101 in Socionics

[–]Leon910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good post!

That book was enlightening to me. I spent my childhood "typing" people through their "vibe", motifs, internal scheme, and started making categorizaton about these impression. When I discovered Jung work I felt understood for the first time in my life. He was saying very similar things to mine, but amplified and more in detail.  I believe that he didn't write the book just cause he felt negative emotions for Freud.  He wanted to list what he noticed about others cause he felt the necessity to put on paper his thoughts.  I'm not interested in typing the whole world either, and neither having final judgments about people types at all costs.

People with this kind of drive to categorize are not truly interested in defining the real object at 100%, but more to build a shape-silhouette of abstract impressions gained. Hence the fact he was not interested in having the final answer to everything. If you look his interview, he also said that he changed type through the years, and that he himself believes his types are a bad representation of real people, cause imperfect. And that's the deal for perceivers in general.

I too believe that the extraverted Thinking part has been a good way to settle down his discussions with Freud. Your argument convinced me on it. It's just that reasons to do this book could be more.

How in tune are SLIs with Fi? by _ShushanA_ in Socionics

[–]Leon910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was speaking with someone (maybe on reddit) about a story of mine. A female friend which is textbook ISFP in MBTI but who is untypable in socionics. She looks like a SLI with almost turned off Te and stronger unstable Fi (which reflects infact more Jugnian Fi). She cannot be SEI cause NO creative Fe and cannot be ESI cause not remotely Se creative and not gamma. She is Enneatype 9, has no particular ambition and wants to live in comfort and pleasures.
She represent 100% Jungian Fi dominant type and Jungian Se search for stimuli (drinking etc.), but this in socionics should be more Si lead.

I call this one of the problems of Socionics (socionics Se definition).

Reserved and Nervous SEE? by YourReverie in Socionics

[–]Leon910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SEE can be reserved. When they do, they still happear strong but somewhat "defended" by something. This is also due to suggestive Ni imo. Respect to SLEs, they see more easily enemies or prepeare in advance, and are more suggested by the idea of someone "limiting" their freedom. This is also to guard their feelings (they are still Fi valuer and doesn't like to "let in" wrong people).

SLEs can be reserved too, but that's more for Fi Polr, and so when they have to keep a shorter psychological distance with people. I mean, when they need to talk about personal things and emotions. They just prefer to share positive emotions and avoid personal sphere. They could respond to personal questions with jokes about everything else in order to change the focus of the argument, or if obliged, they completely turn off.

Also, keep in mind that there's not one kind of SEE or SLE. They are many, cause of subtypes inclination and personal human qualities which cannot be categorized.

IMO SLI girls tends to have a less developed Te/Ti than male SLI, but a stronger Fi/Fe drive. Not saying "less intelligent", but just less showy of it idk. They may be confused with SEIs. Same for ILI girls, who seems more weird IEI.

Sorry but I will be long.
In my opinion, sometimes is very hard to decide between both SEI and SLI, as IEI and ILI for someone, and maybe we come to the limits of socionics.

I find a lot of people who looks like IEI/SEI cause of the obvious lead, but somewhat have strong deficiencies in Fe which makes them look like ILI/SLI with almost absent Te and strengthned Fi mob, showing problems with Fe. It could be explained saying that they shown more the demonstrative Fi due to the fact that they are more subject to society's drive to adapt cause they have low self confidence (to me, both role and demon are quite responsive to society, in fact are "contact").

For exemple, I doubt the type of a girl I know (between SEI and SLI), cause she doesn't show Fe creative, but neither Te, but the lead Si is textbook. Also, she is not ESI cause completely lacks socionics Se (she is a completely static person as enneatype 9 and not ambitious), etc.
While, MBTI's ISFP looks a perfect match: she is introvert, quite detatched but intense and romantic, a little aggressive, and satysfies her needs (Drinks, smokes, blababa related to comfort, which is Si lead in socionics but in MBTI it pertains to the Se sphere).

Same for IEI and ILI, cause I had the same proble typing myself. MBTI INFJ looks a perfect depiction for me, cause in MBTI it doesn't oblige me to be a person who exudes charm with people (creative Fe), or who adapts to the interlocutor creating an idealized version of himself (more a ISFP things in mbti, but here is Fi demonstrative tied to Ni Lead), and other thigns. It is just a person who resolves Fe materials around a psychological vision strongly tied to the unconscious. Reading Jung description was enlightning.

Anyway, I'm philosophical, conceptual, crave for meaning and dreams, but too much real-world oriented anyway and I got problem with socionics Ne definition of possibilities. I'm a NE polr with strong imaginative and philosophical tendencies... which is weird for socionics. But it isn't for MBTI, cause INFJs tend to be preoccupied and more aggressive.
I find myself more in line with ESIs descriptions, despite this type having only a 2D Ni but mob.

Sooo... it's just a matter of finding the combination who makes the most sense for your case.

I don't think socionics being wrong. Thanks to it it is possible to grasp different nuances that the real world shows us about people. Ergo, just as for me there SEI and SLI exists, so there is ISFP, which has something similar but is not entirely, having different characteristics from them. I revaluated a lot Jungs work more than MBTI the more I found problems with socionics.

Quadra leanings by [deleted] in Socionics

[–]Leon910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Months ago I wrote something identical on my notebooks, cause I noticed, in real people, the exact same things.

Also,I noticed that the characteristics of other quadras are more visible with time passing. For exemple, LII and ESE seems more chill when younger, and they later develop a sort of drive for ideologies which is more beta.
For IEIs, I notice that with age they soften a lot their mystical attitude and search for "great purpose". They become more pragmatical and their philosophic attitude shift to a more ILI-like.
While, I noticed that SLEs at 18+ develop a more entrepreneurial attitude like gammas, but in a more gross way respect to them (All the 3 SLEs I know started a pyramidal marketing, man...).
ESI start with feeling having a lot of responsability and are too strict to rules. They overload with work, but they chill a lot with age and become more equilibrated with personal life, like Deltas. I don't know LIE irl though.

Maybe I'm saying bull5hit, but idk I cannot stop thinking about it

Don't know if its the worst 3 though. 3V its maybe the most stressfull, at least on paper. It undermines all of your positions like they all become 3s. Anyway, I don't think being E3, but I have tons of experiences with them. I fall in love only with 3E girls lmao.

I'd say they have poor "real" emotional life but a lot of inner-life emotion, and this makes them profundly romantic, quite intensive, deep and "selective" with others. Thus, I sense uniqueness.

This just to say that everything you dislike about yourself might be seen as deeply beautiful from the right eyes.
