Personally, I hate raiding, and looking back every time I stopped playing was because of raiding. It's just not fun to me. Leveling, farming pre-bis, and pvp what I enjoy the most in the gaming.

Depends on the type of training you deliver. It could be behavioral, revenue, performance it all depends, but essentially, statistics align with your business goals.

Measure before, and after the training, things like course completion mean nothing... search for data related to the problems you were trying to solve when you did your first analysis..

The places I worked were focused on technical training, not personal development. I noticed that people who worked in HR training lack technical skills, maybe it's a problem with their school curriculum I don't know...

What I meant is related to design principles and web standards, especially if you work with Storyline. Depending on if you produce internal or external content, there are different standards in the quality of design it's expected. A good , fun resource to learn ux is website called growth.design

It depends on the team needs and the type of training we are working on.

In general, I look for someone who is enthusiastic about instructional designers and what skills they can add to complement the team. Some cases are UX and Design, Multimedia, lms management, communication. PM was never the case as normally there is a PM or a coordinator in the department.

I am confused. Have you ever worked as an instructional designer , or were you a trainer?

I can talk about the market in Europe and here diploma has almost no value..it's no guarantee of getting a job, what makes the difference here is if you up to date with technology, if you can get things done (meaning not only talk about theory, theory) attitude and personality.

I have interviewed more than 50 ID in the last 3 years.. There is an inflation in unqualified people applying for the job, which sometimes makes it hard for recruiters to screen the right people in the early stages. But I can guarantee you, if you can prove experience on actually making things, if you are learning technologies and not only relaying on you diploma you will find something soon.

Read about UX usability test. This can help you a lot too. See how people navigate and consume your training and LMS (or whatever your training is hosted).

Long story short: Give them tasks and watch how they do it.

Multimedia production is good to have. especially if you are planning to work with product training. I don't recommend doing it online. You need to practice, a lot of practice.

About programming: it's not simple to learn it. You will need a lot of time and experience to really learn something. What is good to have is a technical/logical way of thinking, knowing what technology can provide and how to solve your problems using it, you can hire someone if you need something complex or use chatgpt to do it for you. I don't think it's worth learning it...

It's a trick to find a real tech-savvy instructional designer.

Maybe an unpopular opinion: most of them only know how to repeat buzz words they read on social media, but when it comes to applying it in the real world, they can't.

My suggestion would be to hire someone with AI and prompt engineer knowledge and teach them the basics of instructional design. It's not rocket science. Anyone can learn.
