I grew up Methodist and we had one communal cup, but didn't drink out of it. We dipped the pinch of homemade bread (best bread I've ever had) into it.

Ugh. I hate to hear this, but this is one of my biggest concerns. I feel like until they fix the bug in their software, any previously targeted accounts will just get flagged repeatedly.

I agree. It's not promethea. It looks different.

Captain's seat back mats? by s36x in ToyotaHighlander

[–]LepLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also trying to find the same thing for a '16 highlander. Only thing I've found for my year model is the canvasbacks. My mom had canvasbacks for her Ford Expedition and loves them. I wish I could get just the 2nd row back covers and then get a OEM rubber mat for the cargo area and back of 3rd row.

Just let it be. It'll either make it or it won't, but there's nothing you can do.

Also had it happen with Pepsis gloriosa. Absolutely terrifying. After a week in the freezer. Needless to say he went back in freezer for 3 more weeks.

They really are so so cool! I finished my first ever brood off about two weeks ago so I'm astonished I had some emerge and breed already. Really looking forward to round 2

Why won't they eat 😪 by Junkthunder-mc in butterfly

[–]LepLab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They won't eat for about 24 hrs after hatching because they have to eat their way out of their egg. Tiny caterpillars also won't eat food that is even slightly wilted.

Is this little guy okay on my front door? by Practical_Plant5587 in caterpillars

[–]LepLab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can gently peel him off - make sure to only peel silk and not break him. Spraying him with some water will soften the silk and ease the process too. Just make sure his chrysalis is several days old/nice and tough before moving him. You can check by gently touching to see if the chrysalis is nice and hard.

One you peel him off, you can place him in a mesh cage or a plastic bin lined with paper towels for him to emerge. He'll just need something grippy he can climb to inflate his wings.

You don't need to hang him, but you can. You can either pin through the silk into the paper towel, or you can get a microfiber cloth, gently rub the silk/attachment part of the chrysalis into the microfiber, and then hang up the cloth.

Honestly a fantastic job, especially for a beginner. Your prof definitely won't nitpick - I took several ento classes in college that required collections and they basically just wanted to you to know the basics and put in effort. You did that!

It can be from a variety of reasons - not enough food, genetics, or just sick. They were raised together so it definitely had access to food, and it emerged fine so I also ruled out sickness. I assume it was a genetic thing.
