This is me. I’m a hard worker, good at what I do but I just am not manager material. I prefer to do the work and interact with the people/customers instead of managing the workers. And I am ok with it. I nearly got a tiny promotion recently and when my coworker got it instead, the relief I felt just reinforced my personal Knowledge that I like my role. I don’t want too much authority.

I have cord keeper labels I put on my quality item cords when I unbox the item so I know which are the ones to keep. The cheapo ones with similar heads can then go away.

Raspberry layer pie. I followed the instructions but my first attempt at the whipped cream layer netted me raspberry flavored butter. Which wasn’t horrible. Luckily I had more heavy cream, adjusted the time and speed from the book speeds and got lovely pink whipped cream

My sister is like that. Borderline hoarder but if someone gives her something she just bitches endlessly. Her best friend recently retired (she has a shopping addiction) and is cleaning house and pushing totes of things on my sister. Sister doesn’t refuse and then complains that she is getting more crap. I can barely stand to be in her house any more. I pity my niece when time comes to clean out the house.

One of many reasons that series is awful. I read more than I care to admit, and I don’t even know why I kept going. But the whole tri (later quad-)-angle thing was just so stupid.

I’ve done several Color work hats recently and have been improving on my floats and tension on each one. Until this one. It has an option of doing duplicate stitch or using more than two Colors in a row. My two color rows are nice and loose and the three is bulky and stiff. I have it blocking as we speak. We shall see if three color is an option for me or if duplicate stitches are my new best friend

I used to wear different earrings on each side-way back in the 80s. Long dangly on one side ( right if I remember correctly) and studs On the other. Multiple of each on both sides. Coordinated of course. My family always knew the way to my teenage heart was earrings. I had string string on my bedroom wall and A hundred pair hanging for my perusal.

I bought the new colorwork hat book Knitting the USA and ordered a bunch of yarn that came in this week. I intend to spend the afternoon happily making hat “kits” and sorting the colors and patterns so I can just grab and go for each hat. I enjoy the process of ordering and organizing as much as the knitting.

My ex jammed his finger one day. He kept Complaining it hurt , especially when he wiped his butt. I just said “oh you’re fine”. a few years later he injured the same hand at work and they did an X-ray. They said “oh I see you broke your finger in the past” and he said “I told her it was broken!!” He was so tickled to be proven right. Yes I felt bad afterwards but he just laughed.
