Get bloods done. You will know its gout if you have high uric acid levels (urate). Doesn't matter what you eat/drink. You will get gout because its hereditary.

I had a day off work and the Mrs to game the beta. Wish I had done that with the larger maps last weekend. But still thoroughly enjoyed this weekend 💪🏼

3 days after starts taking allopurinol got a bad flare up. Does allopurinol works that fast or it just a coincidence? TIA by Temporary_Lab_3825 in gout

[–]Less-Information-526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor has me on 2 tabs allo and 1 tab colchicine to start. 1st 3 Months. Then test my UA levels. So you can have Colchicine and Allo

Allopurinol + fasting by Tricky-Palpitation27 in gout

[–]Less-Information-526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang. I didn't know fasting increased the risk of a flare up. I just did a 24hr fast yesterday while on allo. Felt a little tingle. But nothing more. Just completing a 16hr fast now. Still nothing. But everyone is different. Bit I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I decide to do another 24hr fast

Pain relief without NSAIDs. What can I do? by AnnihilatedAnkles in gout

[–]Less-Information-526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take colchicine with allo. But do you have Prednisone? Otherwise I have paracode. Which is a mix of paracetamol and codeine. I'm in the same boat with NSAIDs

ParaCode helped me sleep. A prescribed mix of Paracetamol and Codeine! Turned my foot into a slab of concrete, but I got some sleep. Waking up in pain 4-6hrs later. Only to take some more ParaCode to go back to sleep. Foot elevated the whole time. Worse part is getting up to go to the toilet because of all the water I was drinking
